A lot of respect for Case Keenum here. I understand the media is just trying to do their job but I have no idea why it’s necessary to exclusively ask the backup qb questions about the horrific situation that has absolutely nothing to do with him other than being one of 80 teammates

@cmaxmillplayers shouldn’t have to answer for the decisions that management made, I understand why the media wants to ask and I don’t blame them for asking but Case was put in an awkward spot here and I feel bad for him having to be questioned about it

I thought, and still do, the Vikings screwed up with Case. They decided to go after the “shiny new object” with Kirk Cousins and while Cousins has the stats, and looks good on the surface, he simply can’t win big games. Cousins is around 7-26 I think against teams with a winning record as a Viking — 10-40 all time from memory — and that is the most important stat. But Keenum took the Vikings to the NFC Championship and even though they lost I thought they should’ve built on that. But Cousins has won maybe one playoff game and he has underperformed. And the Vikings continue to extend him.
