@Zekey leal The rule says the blocker must be MOVING towards or parallel to his own endzone. It does not say “facing” it says moving. He never took one step towards his own endzone.

@DM G3 Blindside blocking is when you block in the wrong direction. You are only allowed to block TOWARDS the OPPONENT’S endzone. #58 stopped and blocked towards is OWN endzone (backwards) which is illegal. It doesn’t matter if the players are looking and running straight at each other, the blocker simply blocked in the wrong direction. It is different than a “block in the back” penalty.

@DM G3 The problem is he stopped first, then delivered a blow by launching his shoulder backwards towards his own endzone. “It is a foul if a player initiates a block when his path is toward or parallel to his own end line and makes forcible contact to his opponent with his helmet, forearm, or shoulder.”

Defenses are figuring him out AGAIN. Idk if it’s the playcalling or just him but he’s clearly taking way too long to make decisions. I remember seeing the same behavior in Carolina. Again, Idk if he’s trying to make the “perfect” throw or thinking too much/uncertain, or what but it’s a serious problem, especially when have no defense stretchers at WR.
People forget how young and how many new faces are on this Patriots team. Probably why they’re so inconsistent. But they certainly have a lot of fight in them

@Steven Mauras He seemed to be shutdown, yet on that one drive he was targeted a lot and beat Gilmore a lot, now I’m not saying had he been targeted more, he would have done the same, Gilmore is an outstanding player and probably would’ve gotten a pick, but when you have DHop you have to take that chance
