I was a very young boy when I saw this game. I had watched many football games on tv and didn’t have a favorite team. I was drawn to Steelers because of their being always the underdog, never a winner, blue collar grit of the city and fans, and of course the team colors(the towel the wonderful towel). I saw myself in that team. As I watched that playoff game, I was crushed when Oakland scored the touchdown to go ahead. But when Harris scored the touchdown, this team, was now my team and has been ever since. GO STEELERS!!!

John Madden hated the Steelers after that play. His whole life after he had nothing good to say, even when forced to say something good you could tell he was struggling. He was a football commentator for years and would always take shots at the Steelers. He never made the Steelers good in his video game. He was such a bitter man, (RIP) rest in pain Madden you loser. And the play was legal there was no instant replay at the time and it would have been hard to tell who touched the ball first anyway. Harris clearly caught the ball before it hit the ground so that part is definitely legit. Don’t know anything about physics but for the ball to ricochet straight back to Harris would have had to hit Jack Tatum first.
