The key to this team is the blitzing defense. When that is rolling interceptions and quick 3 and outs and short fileds sets up the offense to shine. If the defense is playing a bend and not break zone, they get picked apart, get behind and the offense fails like a house of cards.
Exactly my opinion. Against the Saints, they fake blitzed every time and were in zone coverage. All that does is give the opposing qb time. Not to mention only running 5 rush plays the entire game. That shut Brady down easily. It almost seemed like BA was intentionally throwing the game.

Coach please stop the zone coverage on d, we have bump and run man coverage corners. It seems every time we are in zone coverage we give up easy yards or a blown coverage.

@Neil Semple I wish I could like this comment more times. Scotty is horrible at making the 1st guy miss. All that speed and he’s not showing any wiggle to his game. He can learn a lot from AB as they all can but him and AB are more alike.
AB gave me confidence back there just to field the punts properly. That’s half the battle of field position.

You better look in the rearview mirror because the offensive play-calling in your losses and against the Packers in the beginning of the game has been pathetic. It’s great to celebrate the win, but if you don’t get the offensive play-calling straight and learn that the way you win with Tom Brady is to accommodate his style with short out passes, quick slants, running the ball, nickel and diming the other team, and taking shots when you can, you’re going to lose against strong teams. Follow up wins don’t fix fundamental problems.
If the Buccaneers don’t go to the SB, it’ll be on the coaches. The talent is there.

Exactly!! I think he is too predictable most of the time. That works with teams where they are just clearly better than but when you are facing a team who has talent also they pick them apart. You can’t expect Tom Brady to carry it.
Good post. They don’t seem to adjust the play calling against teams with good pass rushes. They are also not very creative in using misdirection, picks and screens to keep aggressive defenses off balance. They should have a staple of quick three step drop plays to get the ball out quick if their line is struggling. AB should be perfect for this role as he is probably the best player on the team to get open quickly. We’ll see in the coming weeks if they adjust as the Rams and KC have good pass rushing lines.

I was so glad to see GRONK get another TOUCHDOWN. I just hope that BRADY keep throwing to GRONK every week so that GRONK. Can get a Touchdown every week so GRONK can make up for the year he didn’t play.

the bucs have the best PA in the league because all the talent but you cant go without the run game i think their missing a few trick plays also but maybe you just havent brought them out
