Play Minshew dude? Really? Is he the future of the Philadelphia Eagles? I think not. We have to give Jalen Hurts the chance to develop into the thrower of the football we need him to be. Hes only going to do that playing NFL games and reading NFL level defenses. Not from the sidelines. Now that the game is on Tuesday lets hope and pray for the future growth of this team that Hurts plays. We cant be short sighted with this team and the QB position. Hurts put this team in the position to get the wildcard. Minshew beat the Jets. All hes done for this team so far. Love having a great back up but thats all Minshew is is a backup. Lets be logical here.

@SethRow wildcard via wildcat ? i dunno bro…. 1 we dont have to do anything, 2 especially per a bridge qb, 3 and w/o demonstrated pro level passing fundementals. how can hurts run 200 times in 17games n still have tread on the tires? a lot even for a rb. we need him to pass too. minshews a proven smart passer. we have good RBs and oline to run with. no? minshew got 41tds-11ins in his 23gm career w the jags who were as bad as the jets. he went 6-8 w them. eagles r better, hurts went 5-7. hurts combine report on nfl website, all issues listed then r still issues now. a little but barely any improvement ….upside doubtful imho. minshew can be the next brady if he gets a 3rd yr as qb1 w eagles n strong defense from the draft. brady strengthened his arm and got better velocity as years went on. always healthy n available. run heavy qbs get hurt in the nfl often….ya know?

@cryptolicious I actually completely agree with you man. And I’m not a Jalen Hurts hater but Minshew is a way better fit for us right now. We have weapons that aren’t being used as efficiently as they could be because Jalen runs the ball 10+ times a game. Everyone wants to develope Jalen but don’t see that the QB they want to develope him into is actually Gardner Minshew.

Did u really say Minshew can become T Brady??? I should stop the convo there lol but i disagree and thts the beauty of sports. Many many teams passed up on Minshew. We got him got him for a 6th round pick. Teams dont pass on a futurr Brady brotha. He a decent game managing QB. If u want that for this team cool. You entitled to your opinion. But i want something more for my Eagles. I want another Championship. Can Minshew get us there with the rite cast? Maybe. But as far as overall potential and raw talent. Hurts has it. And we can get far with the rite players and WRs around Hurts as well thou. The team as a whole is not good enough rite now. We all knew it was a rebuild year. Cant expect a kid in Jalen Hurts to have the arm talent of a Minshew after one season. Give him 2 seasons and if im seeing the same from Hurts im worried. But its to early to give up on guys. Just like they wont give up on Jj or Reagor you cant give up on Hurts this early. And wht happens if Minshew does end up being our piece. We have to PAY him like a #1 QB. Which limits this team moving forward. In saying all this what im trying to knock home is dont make knee jerk reactions. We have to think long term for our team. Especially with Howie always kicking these big contracts down the road. Lets give Jalen Hurts 2022 as well

@SethRow whats more likely, minshew levels up next year or hurts gets an acl and dissappears like rg3 ? i domt wish that on him of course but lets be real he has chosen to run 185 times in his 16 games per espn stats. wasnt brady a ‘game mgr’ until his 3rd season ? i havent seen hurts improve any of his wealnesses since his combine report. minshew did well on a BAD JAGs team so he should do better on a better team. no?
