I understand wanting your players to stay hot but one or two drives would’ve been fine. You kept them out there way to long for a game that didn’t have any playoff seed implications. All we did was get mike Williams hurt, only to lose at the end of the game anyway which would’ve been the most likely scenario with our starters sitting. What the heck did we gain from this we lost the game , Williams was hurt, and gave Jacksonville a bigger blue print on how to beat us again.
Sounds like we should save them for next year then !

I know ekeler for sure was gonna play because he said in an interview that they are gonna have to drag him off the field if they want him to sit. I feel some other guys felt the same way. But at the same time all the players were taking it easy cause they knew they didn’t need to win so they were just getting reps in.
This is something nobody seems to understand. These guys WANT to be out there, keenan too probably wanted to be out there every single snap.
Ek wanted the rec. record that makes sense. The things staley has done the last 2 years not so much.

Staley lost his composure, but he deserved to feel the heat from the reporters. He could have told Lombardo to not call WR screens and focus on running the ball. SMH

yea tbh I could tell that this wasn’t his usual sad voice when he loses this was the voice of a guy who knew what was coming from the reporters. I like Staley as a person but he’s just like all our other coaches he just sweet talks us and then we let it go and then he does something like this today and he goes back down on the brownie points from me. Idk it might be time for Sean Payton before Denver gets him

He’s not. He led a very injured team to a winning record, 5th seed, and he won when it most mattered. No saying he’s a great coach.. but I think he’s gonna get another season with us.

The Chargers offense already played great in their first 3 series against a very good Denver defense That’s already the momentum right there. That was just a stupid decision by Staley keeping all the starters that long.

@Yosh Yodriguez Broncos defense have a lot of depth and good players which is why they have been able to be a top 5 defense most of the season
So my question that id like to highlight among many others, why do so many other teams successfully put out backups to avoid injury, but for us it’s apparently to difficult due to roster space?? We literally saw multiple teams this week do it so why couldn’t we.

Chargers need to change the strength and conditioning coach. We have a ton of injury prone players, much more than others.
It seems like a lifetime ago that ppl were singing this guys praises. He’s made so many mistakes and bad decisions that I don’t think he will get the benefit of the doubt anymore. From the beginning I didn’t think he was ready for this. Loved his story being a cancer survivor. He can win any press conference and is a really good guy but he’s not capable of running a team that should be winning with all this talent.
He’s so full of it, there’s not one coach that would have played his starters in a meaningless game. Of course other teams had starters in because they were fighting for playoff position, we weren’t. Straight up malpractice, he needs to be replaced by Payton if we lose to Jags because his lack of foresight.
Damn Staley was heated, need this typa energy in Jacksonville next week

I honestly believe the Chargers could have won today’s game if they didn’t have all those dropped balls/fumbles. This can’t happen if you’re playing in the playoffs.

What’s crazy is we went into this game with only 4 WRs on our depth chart I believe. In a game you expected to pull your guys in the second half you didn’t bring any backups for Keenan and mike. That’s insane
@LEGION 13Teams that had nothing to play for pulled their most important starters by the 2nd half. Bucs, Vikings, Giants. Everyone else was playing for seeding and most pulled their starters by the 4th quarter still
Cus chase is leaving next year and Easton on contract will be our backup

@Al Ba Dude no team has enough depth to prepare for losing 5 receivers in the same season. Carter wasn’t meant to fill that role anyways, he was specifically for punt returns but happened to have decent hands. Any other team losing that much talent would have been absolutely floundering, while we were still managing to pull through most games or at least make it close.

Was 100% behind Staley until he played the starters, now we are without one of the BEST receivers in the NFL!
