Love you Reggie! Thanks for everything you and the Electric Company did all those years ago! Wish you nothing but health and happiness for the new year and beyond!

They called themselves “The Electric Company” because they turned on the Juice. I saw OJ’ longest run from scrimmage at the Old Rockpile. We were sitting in the end zone and the Bills were on the six yard line in front of us. As they lined up, I said out loud “All they have to do is pitch it to OJ and all he has to do is break a tackle and he can take it all the way for a touchdown.” It was so quiet, as the Bills were on offense, that everyone in our section heard what I said. They hiked the ball and Reggie and the Electric Company blocked their men and the ball was pitched out to OJ and he broke a tackle and took it to the house. I got congratulations from everyone in our section with everyone saying “The kid called it!!!” It was against the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, who eventually won the game, but the highlight of the game was OJ Simpson’s longest run from scrimmage. OJ was the greatest running back in NFL history and one of the greatest Ambassadors of Buffalo to the world for many years going on to become one of the first Monday Night Football analysts, then a NFL analyst for NBC and in between a famous movie star who starred in “Roots,” “The Towering Inferno,” and the Naked Gun series amongst others. In his prime, he was the most famous athlete in the world and known to be one of the nicest human beings behind the camera taking time. It is one of the saddest things in my life to see OJ go from the top to the bottom.

I’d like to thank Reggie for his years as a Buffalo Bill and for all the good memories we all had back then in the glory days of the Electric Company! Peace, love, and much appreciation!
