Nikki Covington

Let’s Go Minnesota Vikings and I loved this team. This was a crazy ending thank goodness that Camryn Bynum intercepted that ball in the end zone they better beat the Detroit Lions next weekend and Cameron Dantzler will be back yay.

    Phil Stadem

    Nikki chill 😂

    Nikki Covington

@Phil StademWhat? The Minnesota Vikings finally won it.

    Noonjo

@Nikki Covington You say they finally won it after every week though. I think the word “finally” should be used when they don’t win a lot, which they have this season.

    Phil Stadem

@Nikki Covington you just have these rambling rants on every vikings youtube video lmao

    Mr.Boxy

cam is eligible next week but that doesn’t mean they’ll playing him wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t play for another week or 2

Philliph Landry

If the vikings defence can get better look out in the playoffs

    FunkoFever

They are who we thought they were.

    Rob E

What about the offence showing up in the 2nd and 3rd quarters?

    paysonfox88

Well the eagles will be there stopper. They were in 2017, and they’ll do it again. The eagles are going to break the Vikings in half when they meet, if they meet. If they’re the top two seeds, they will meet in Philadelphia most likely, and it’s just going to be the same as 2017, a rubber stamp for the eagles next championship. They got a darn good team this year, and they have already whipped the Vikings so bad.

    Rob E

@paysonfox88 That was a long, long time ago. Week 2 was the second game that OConnell had ever called plays, the second game that the Vikes had played with their new schemes on both sides of the ball, and only the second ever game anyone on the D Line had ever played together (except Wonnum & Tomlinson).

The Vikes have changed a bit since then. They have added TJ Hockenson for a start, and the Eagles have lost Goedert.

The Eagles have also had last minute wins over the Colts & Texans, two of the worst teams in football, and a loss at home to Washington. The Eagles have also only played 5 games against teams with winning records, 4 of them at home, compared to the 7 the Vikes have played – 4 of the on the road. Even the Eagles win over the Cowboys was against Cooper Rush.

The Eagles are a tad overhyped and aren’t necessarily all that and certainly aren’t unbeatable. They are far from certain to even get the #1 seed, and no #1 seed has won the SB during the 7 team playoff era anyway.

    Edward Corey

@paysonfox88 actually that eagels game wasnt as blowout as you think we got few stops and int deep in redzone drop td by te no excuses but vikings won’t get beat like that by them again

dan niles

Manitoba fans say Go Vikings,,,looking good in 2022

I wanna talk to Sampson

Need to keep reag involved on offense hes take advantage of his touches on offense we gotta get him involved more that could help the 3rd quarter offense since nobody but jj can beat a 1 on 1 with any consistency

    al karg

Hitting KJ and Thielen more often doesn’t “hurt the cause” either. Am sure Cook n Matti would like some wheel routes in the flats (check downs?) too.

Back Roads Wingrider

Our 31st rank defense will really prove how soft we are in Detroit next week.

    Rob E

The D is currently ranked 18th in points conceded. Games are won by points, not rankings, or yardage.

    The Superior Affection

@Rob E They were 21st in points given up before the Jets game. After, they’re tied at 22nd with 2 other teams.

    Rob E

@The Superior Affection Btw – I’ll happily concede that my thought that OConnell might reduce Cook’s snap count has been off base so far. He is averaging about 20 touches a game which is about normal – but he is also staying healthy.
The Vikes current trajectory should give OConnell a chance to give the vets an easier time coming onto the playoffs though, but so far KO’s workload management regimen seems to be working pretty well.

    The Superior Affection

@Rob E Yeah, I just saw he’s at 73% for snap count so far this year which would be his highest in his career if it holds up. His career range was from 65%-71%. His average rushes and rushing yards per game would each be 2nd lowest of his career while his average yards per carry is right at his career average of 4.7.

Local CBS TV news from Mpls just ran a story that Mattison may see more time the rest of the way to help keep Dalvin fresh for the playoffs.

His career high for games is 14. If he stays healthy and they made a deep run, it could be 21 game season.

    Rob E

@The Superior Affection I’d really like to see Ty Chandler get some carries in the last few games if he gets back from IR. He must be getting close.

Redzone D was on fire today! Not a pretty win, but like every week, very exciting! SKOL baby

Wilson

Soooo Very Proud Of This Team! Situational Masters! Way To Be Your Best When Required! That Was A Pretty Darn Good Defense Out There! I Do Feel We Needed To Run The Ball A Little Bit More Early! Especially Against Great Pass Rushing Defensive Fronts! However Way To Find A Way To Get The Victory! 10 & 2 Does Feel Great! The SkooollllTraaain Is Still Chuggin’ Along…Toot Toot! Alllll Aboard The SkooollllTraaain! #SKOL #VIKINGS #PURPLEREIGN #BWILLTALK

Logan McGuyer

But one of those drive we prolly score if Kirk puts it on Hock & JJ catches that ball Kirk shoulda placed better hit still was his to catch!

Jackson Hargest

Skol Vikings love this team I just hope Kirk goes into his bag this last month just in case the eagles slip and we secure 1 seed just keep winning vikes

FunkoFever

I don’t see us beating the Lions next week. They play us tough even when they suck and they definitely don’t this year.

BlackjackCZ

Great win. 10-2 is phenomenal. The D was lights out the first half; second half they went back into a conservative defense. If the defense can show some improvement in the last five games that would be a big boost for the playoffs. Next week vs the Lions is going to be a war. SKOL!

    Edward Corey

I agree we are not meant to be 3-4 ,we have slow linebackers and DE who is better with hand in the dirt we need to go back to 4-3 unless its clearly pass

Jaden Barry

The defense needs to improve because this style becomes extra taxing in a plaplayoff environment it’s key to getting to ball carriers and making takles if this teams goals is a serious championship run in a shootout style tournament which is the playoffs making takles will be key.

Tim Van Voorhis

I agree. Was so hard to watch. Yeah a win is a win but man. My heart.

Peter Cieluch

Remember, we saw nothing of the offensive in the preseason. KOC kept it very vanilla. Now, could the 3rd quarter be somewhat the same? Not opening up the playbook until needed. Limiting the amount of offensive tape out there to be dissected by opponents? Lots of miss direction in the NFL.

al karg

I left the TV behind/got busy elsewhere at half-time. Didn’t suffer “the usual” (collapse/relapse) at all. Up 20-3, I knew what was likely coming/what to expect. Didn’t know if it’d be a W or L at the end but KNEW Vikes would do the NFL habit (except Eagles, K.C., usually) of boring 3 and outs, too numerous punts, via trying to play out the clock type “O” strategy aka “sitting on the lead.”
Our “D” is NOT strong enough to survive/thrive long this way per yardage stopping prowess, come the better/good teams (usually). They’ll bend easily between the 20’s sort of the way Vikings of renown once did (60’s – 70’s decades) and get stingy near the goal line.
Thus, I don’t totally blame the “D” for the yds given up, as the “O” gave up the T.O.P., advantage they had first half. It then becomes all about the “red zone” and NOT giving up TD’s.
Once you scrunch up a decent “D” to say, 20 yds, then the endzone backline boundaries become “your friend.” (Spatially speaking) Apparently, like it or not, this is Donatelli’s formula/recipe for his “D” unit. Hence what you’re seeing, week in, week out. It’s a “winning formula” to the tune of 10-2 thus far (but Eagles n Cowboys are the EXCEPTIONS to this strat) seen.
Do agree however, it’s going to be tougher to play this way, come opponent’s playoff teams’ caliber/skill/performance potentials. (Birds; ‘Boys; 9ers; e.g.) But we’ll soon see. Let’s stay healthy and meet that challenge when it comes, head-on.

Leonard Shevlin

The Jets were given every opportunity to win the game but kept failing to do what they are able to do.
