I was really happy when I was watching this video it just made my day some how LmVp

Opi Okapi

Welcome Zappe 💗🧸

ryan shaw

That arm strength!! He throws like josh Allen!

Crii Rarri

Nice touch on deep/intermediate passes and effortlessly at that

Eric Horner

Wow. He’s goooood!

Nash Lawhon

Dude has Josh Allen type arm strength. Would be really useful for those occasional deep ball plays way down the field to Thornton

    stéphane A

God, the first thing I read about hims is that he has a noodle arm like Mac Jones

    Barry Obama

    @stéphane A another Brian Hoyer 🙄🙄

    Derek

@stéphane A and he throws pre snap reads, doesn’t look off his first target for easy throws and runs if not there.
I think both have an adequate arm, they just need to open up the offense and he can make the throws..imo

    brazillo19

He also can scramble like Josh can. The only difference is he lighter.

Condused

Like with many college QBs I wish there would be more plays where he scrambles and hits the receiver coming open over the middle. Still I like how he plays w. that quick release. Welcome to NE.

The real question is why are the picking the highlights from the crappiest angles

Gus Serks

keep mac on his toes at training camp!

    Bryan Smith

Keep mac on the bench while the Patriots offense is on the field.

    Alexis Guy

@Bryan Smith ain’t going to happen

    Howling Fox Sports

@Bryan Smith hey do you need directions to the nearest therapist?

Tico World

Damn dude looks great in highlights hopefully he’ll be a good addition to the team. Dude got a rocket form an harm damn.

RollTideRoll

I’m quite confused by this pick, Mac is clearly the starter and has been working very hard with our receivers to improve, maybe this could be a jimmy g style pick, more as insurance in case of injury

    The Microwaveable Slayer of Thots

I think it’s getting a new career backup since Hoyer needs to retire at some point.

    Tanner Mann

Yeah I mean if you think the 6th rounder is gonna start over our 1st rounder that got like 26 mil in guaranteed money from his rookie contract and led the team to the playoffs then you need to reevaluate lol this is a good pick cause he’s gonna hopefully be a good back up. Seeing this I can genuinely be like oh okay, if Mac gets hurt this year this could be an exciting alternative!

    erik puka

Or if Mac becomes like Kyler Murray and wants 50M a yr then Belichick got the security in Zappe

    Johnathan Wyatt

I think this pick is entirely self explanatory, we are running on a thin line with our current backups. Mac Jones is our guy no question but if he were to get hurt we would end up screwed, where as now we wouldn’t be screwed because Zappe can play and at the very least if he ends up being real solid like Jimmy G than we end up with massive trade leverage. Even if he doesn’t play much for us or even if he does we have nothing to lose and everything to gain with a Solid late round QB pick. It was a disposable pick as it was, might as well double dip and fill in some holes. The draft IMO is more about strategy and finding gems that won’t end up costing us big money but will give our team tons of value, rather than just trying to pick up the best and most hyped players the patriots pick up the players that will best fit our team and our needs. I think this draft is the perfect example of strategical drafting by the patriots, regardless of what other people think. We have a history of doing things drastically different than the rest of the NFL and it pays off almost every year.

    Will Hagar

@erik puka he’s not going to do that- look how much he changed since his rookie summer camp vs. interviews later in the season he’s been trained- he’ll be a patriot as long as bill wants him to be

Oldernu

Like many, I was confused about this pick. Now I get it. Hoyer is too old, he’s retiring and Mac doesn’t need a tutor. Stidham has been hurt twice, failing the first duty of backup QBs– be ready. So Zappe has a real chance.

J from the D

If the offensive line does well in preseason. Bro might break the record for most tds in a preseason game. 😭💯

    Ribbit

LETS FREAKING GO PATS, 2022-2023 PRESEASON CHAMPS 💯💯💯💯

Carson Claws

Saw him play against my MSU Spartans in the beginning of the year, he is an absolute stud and might be the biggest sleeper in the draft

Dee Eliades

Patriots have done well taking QB’s in the later rounds. Both Jimmy G and Jacoby Brisette became starters with other teams. We cannot forget the 6Th round QB Tom Brady who will be the GOAT! Should be interesting! Go Pat’s!

    Luhh Jeezy715

Jimmy has had success starting a sb as a qb ‼️

horseheadmelvin

Wow, strong accurate arm, leads his receivers and gets rid of it quick. The Hoodie still knows his QBs! F Sean Mcvay!

Bob S

Can’t wait to watch the “You got Zapped” highlights on ESPN.

DC

For those confused we picked him because hoyer isn’t a capable player he is the tutor to Mac so when mac gets hurt stidham would play but he is injury prone
