Prevent defense killed us on their second to last TD to give them the life they needed. So stupid that this team does this every time. Sticky man coverage with pressure working all game? Time to switch it up at the 4th quarter to give them a chance by playing soft zone.
The only thing the prevent defense does it prevent you from winning. I don’t understand who thought the prevent defense was a good idea. For God sakes the defense was on fire all game except after that.
@Ian Franks Bro I turned to my dad and said “prevent your from winning defense” after they made their first reception in the soft spot, right sideline in between the zones. He turned back and said “One DQ special with extra sprinkles?” That was the beginning of the end.

Either the Saints play calling suddenly got really good, or the Falcons coach just said “everything you were doing earlier….STOP IT!”
I’m not a Falcons fan so I don’t care what anyone says. This Falcons team is scary. It’s their first time playing together, they’re young, talented and will learn to finish off these close games. It’s basically a whole new Falcons team. Hold your head up ATL they just warming up.

The result sucks, but to be honest, this was as much fun I’ve had watching a Falcons game since I can remember. Offense was fresh, the run game was incredible with Patterson, London made some good plays, offensive line held up in the run and pass game, THERE WAS A LEGITIMATE PASS RUSH, and the stadium was actually a good atmosphere.
Even if the record doesn’t end up reflecting it, this is a much better team this year than last year. And the team’s play style yesterday has me thinking this rebuild isn’t going to be as long as I thought it would.
We’ll be alright, Falcons fans. Shake it off, time to go beat up some Rams.
