I know I have said some select words about this loss. But in all, I’m still confident on whats being built here. Yeah Pitts and London aren’t getting the stats we all want. But we are doing better, and building for the future. Lets keep our heads up and don’t get down by being defeated by a team we all assumed we would lose to anyways. LBS! RiseUp FalcNation!! I have faith that we will get better and keep improving. Rooting for these guys every week but when our QB has only completed more than 15 passes 2 times so far, both in losses, that’s gotta say something.

At first I thought it was Mariota just being inaccurate with the passing game but now I see he’s not even getting a chance to get in a rhythm passing the ball. This new regimes first two picks were pass catchers , you gotta just air it out at some point to see what’s the there. Only balanced game so far is Saints and maybe Seahawks. Yesterday the run obviously wasn’t working how it had been this season , down 18 why not just air it out instead of wasting time and getting no points. Pees just thanked the 49ers for that same thing last week. I’m no “couch coach” but some things feel like common sense
Smith is one dimensional, the problem is his plan works more times than it doesn’t. We will be stuck with this sorry excuses for an offense for at least a decade. So strap in, and get ready to watch Pitts, and London walk out that door.
Defense give up 500 passing yards. So let’s ask questions about the passing game? Wtf? And when talking about the passing game, why don’t they ever ask about how terrible the line is at pass blocking?

Exactly, that’s why he he issue needs to be discussed. Carter have a AK and Malone are better rushers than Carter already. Carter is a good player all around but Malone and AK need more snaps. 92 should never see the field. Ever.
@Films They point at marcus because he is completed 14 passes in a game that the falcons need to come from behind. In a passing game script, they didn’t trust him to pass the ball.
Dirty Birds had 3 sacks, but u can’t stop a healthy Burrows offense with 2nd and 3rd string players. This isn’t preseason when it might be possible.
That was a tough schedule too begin the season with. Falcons did well the rest of the schedule is super winnable. Trust and believe this a playoff team.
Mariota playing better than Brady, Baker, Winston and Ridder. Coach Smith knows this and has a team building plan to get better this year and in the future. Mariota did fumble, but recovered the ball for a first down. He is not responsible for the running game average being better than the receivers, o line giving up sacks and the d backs not stopping Bengals passing attack focus. The Atl Falcons are about unselfish team play from the o, d and spec teams. When a team like last year’s AFC Champs see a defense with 2nd and 3rd string players like the Falcons this past weekend…you see the results. I believe that the Dirty Birds will have a better win record of 9+ games and 1st in the NFC South. At least that’s what I see based on this team’s play and coaching so far this year.
Mariota has only completed 20 passes in one game this season. This team can’t play without the lead or at least being with in one score of it. Smith has no grasp on game script. Brady complete more passes in yesterdays loss, than Mariota complete in the last four weeks. This isn’t going to work. You think this is an unselfish team, until contracts come to an end. Pitts, and London will be out of here as soon as they can. We will end up over paying for some mid tier vet like Robert Woods, just like the Titans now.
It would look like that if your only throwing 7 PASSES A GAME.

Cant throw the ball when ya dont have time period! Dont think god could throw for over 100 yards with no time to blink ! Matt ryan had the same issues in atlanta ! Last few of his years !
I love MM and that’s my QB but that’s a reach of an excuse. The Oline is elite and provides him with the 3rd most time in the NFL. MM doesn’t trust himself and/or his WR. And AS doesn’t trust him to call the plays.

When Marcus threw that 75 yarder he exposed the Bengals secondary, this game was thrown, Vegas wanted the the Bengals to win this game
So we drafted offensive players last two years in the first round but now that was pointless both of those 1st round picks are no where to be found in those games pitts or London has yet to have a 100 yd game because you have a bozo who didn’t play for 2 years playing the starting QB, is it just me or we really are playing for the middle of the draft picks or top 10 because there are dozens of coaches in this league even with injuries make things happen on the field offense or defense plus majority falcons players have no confidence in themselves because they are not getting to make any play thanks for the head coach and they butter hands Mariota

THANK YOU!!!! I love the Falcons but so many fans are blinded by their surprise start that they are ready to crown Smith as the second coming of Vince Lombardy. His offense was down the entire game and he still only managed to call 15 passing plays. He totally ignores game script and has fallen in love with his own scheme.
Also he is doing playaction passing on 3rd and 14 like we don’t know its going to be a pass

It’s ok to say that the team needs help from outside the presently available players…Arthur Smith doesn’t feel comfortable admitting that. I love the guy but he can be stubborn-headed at times
I like this Coach…he’s really trying with what we have in players. Cincinnati has had years of building a stellar team…we will only get better in time!
If we gonna give up 400 yards passing anyway then just play more man cover 2 or send 5 with a robber underneath. I HATE ZONE.
