Well we can run the ball pretty well now. Why are we depending so much on 2nd and third reads for Pat. He threw some really bad passes this week omg. Why can we not plan for these teams better. We knew exactly what was coming from the Chargers Defense and looked totally unprepared for them. We had so much extra time in the off season for this game but just went back to playground plays to try and win. We would have lost if a rookie did not intercept the TD pass for the 14 point turnaround. The best way to beat them was to fold in and attack the ends head on to wear them out.
Maybe because we had to prepare for the Cardinals and then turn around and prepare for the Chargers in 4 days? I mean obviously we did Enough given how hard that is to do, we’re 2-0. How much more can you ask?
The next game will show you what having time to prepare can do….the Cardinals game was also a glimpse of that.
Sorry Lloyd, can’t agree. On paper, that (and in person) the Chargers D is very impressive. In the second half, The Chiefs held their own however. Very little “playground plays” compared to what we’ve seen from the Chiefs in the past.
As far as prep, this team WAS prepared. But when playing one of the two best other teams in the league AND having so many guys playing in only their second NFL game, it’s not going to be a well oiled machine from the get-go.
Patrick doesn’t “depend” on 2nd and 3rd reads. The play is the play, and he reacts based on what he sees. The Chargers did not present EXACTLY what “we” expected; Patrick even admitted that they got him on that near pick because he wasn’t expecting it.
I’m not sure what “fold in and attack the ends head on to wear them out” means. Sounds good…unless the team keeps going 3 and out?
Well I hope your right but i see a rude awakening coming. Tampa’s D will show what I mean. Fold in means running at the ends folding in the tightends to block more. Yes we have good recieving tightends but we need better blocking from them.

The “body slam” looked worse in real time than it did on replay. Still a hard fall for Kelce, but it didn’t look malicious. It was more just the way the tackle unfolded.
I never played fantasy… football. *smirk* I had a geology prof who cracked wise, but always kept it low-key. I’d bust out laughing and nobody else was really paying attention enough to realize he was a freakin’ comedian.
I like how Andy emphasized it doesn’t matter what the Colts record is, because this weekend has trap game written all over it. Judging by Indy’s play so far, I think most people expect KC to curb stomp the Colts. Maintain that hyper focus and make expectations reality!
