@John Mahon you are the classic definition of a “we got this next year!” Type of fan. Almost every player you mentioned isn’t good enough to make a difference here. There is a reason the team was willing to give up so much for Russel Wilson. Its because they know they are average, on their best days. Get real.
@William Matthews I dunno, I just like being excited about the team I support. At the end of last season I wanted both Pace and Nagy gone as much as anyone, but I am not going to let what is happening in March completely ruin my favourite weekend activity that starts in September. But hey man, who knows! As you say, we got this next year! Bear Dahn.
@John Mahon It is okay to be excited. But it is that very excitement that lets these guys in the front office off the hook year in and year out. Pace needs to go, my friend. Missing out on Watson and Mahomes, signing Mike Glennon, the Foles trade, and now signing the red rocket a year too late for 7 million more than we could have had him for. This guy is either TERRIBLE at what he does, or he made a deal with the Packers to bury the bears for years to come. All jokes aside, he really is a terrible GM. I will even go as far to say that he is worse than Emery.

I understand! We are a QB starved franchise and get so emotional in the early moments. Trust me I get it. It could be worse….They could of ended up with Garner Minshew lol 😆. Anyway, it’s a 1-year deal and he’s probably a bridge QB for us. Could work out, could fail epically….Gotta wait and see.
Just be prepared to POSSIBLY, drink the season away 😅🍻.

the issue is that it isn’t just him being quarterback, its his contract. It forced us to release our All Pro db that has always been solid on our team. Trubisky is better than Dalton and much cheaper, poor decision making from the front office.
@razaark…..I’ve defended Trubisky for years, but he just isn’t as good as people think. He hasn’t grown much since his 2nd season on the league. Makes the same mistakes as the previous years.
I think a different team with a better coach could help (Kyle Shanahan). But Tru isn’t built for Chicago. We are going to be tough on WHOEVER is QB. Mainly because we are starting for a good one. We need a mentally strong QB, along with good abilities on the field. Not saying that Dalton is the guy, but Tru ain’t it. I loved the kids legs, but besides that he was too inconsistent overall. Hope he does well tho. He has room to grow.
@PHILosophy 1990 again you think there is no correlation between lack of growth in qbs in chicago? Obviously they arent giving them the right resources to thrive, its a franchise issue

Yep. Could have had him last year for 3 million, we got him this year for 10. Gotta be asking some serious questions about that.
