I love the move butt this only a classic move since DeCosta has gotten more involved in the past few seasons. Under Ozzie a classic Ravens move would be to sit ou free agency and pick through it’s trash once the top talent is gone- only to have everyone call it “value”
DeCosta doesn’t mind paying for quality. Unlike Newsome he isn’t interested in old, banged up, and/or spent players that are cheap.
