Defense looked exactly the same as last year. 10 yard cushions every play and QBs setting personal best times of getting the ball out of their hands. Allen didn’t even attempt a pass farther than 10 yards until the 4th qtr because everything underneath is wide open.
@FTB they are compared to Ramsey and hill is too small so he not on the line for that reason. we saw how ramsey looked on the line against tae last year burned for slants and in routes constantly over the last 2 years by tae. diggs ain’t tae but his route running is similar enough to give ramsey an issue. ramsey wants to jam less twitchy and less than average speed recievers. and you talk of Stanley as if he jams his corners watch chargers film this is soft shell coverage everyone is playing with standard to exotic looks for the front 4 to 6 to get to the qb quickly.
@Karandeep Khahra Staley’s base is a soft shell coverage, but he often had Jalen up at the line when lined up against #1s. Now that he has a top corner in LA with JC Jackson I’m sure he will do more of the same. Staley schemes to players strengths, Morris just has a base basic defense.
@FTB he tried playing man up tight coverage on tae that playoff game and got burned. rodgers went 7 for 7 on throws against ramsey that post season game. it isnt his strength anymore for no other reason than his age. he is old now, slower less twitchy and recievers r at the pinnacle of speed and rout running rn. he isnt the best cb in the game anymore….he hasnt been for about 2 seasons it’s just getting notice now. jaire alexander, marshon lattimore, Xavier howard, Jack jackson these r the younger guys that can handle the new nfl speed. no shot on ramsey but he isnt the weapon he was back in 2018 anymore. he’s instinctual, no longer is he able to react as fast. he’ll have games here and there but when u facing the best he gonna get burned more often than not.
@Karandeep Khahra Ramsey gave up like 45 yards in man coverage that game, that’s hardly getting burned. Also 3 of those guys you just named are the same age as Ramsey, only Alexander is younger… by 1 year
@FTB that’s cuz those were his tight man coverage throws. rodgers went 7 for 7 against him that playoff game 5 for 5 with tae and then 2 for 2 with lazard on ramsey. those other guys have different body types than ramsey. size becomes an issue the older u get cuz it makes u slower. I dont put it all on him coaching is definitely different but he not the best anymore.
That O-line is gonna be the death of this team if it’s not fixed soon

Why are you being disloyal to the your team. It’s like a husband who cheers for another man’s wife. The bills are okay. The rams just didn’t try last night. They gave up with all the cursing and naysayers in the media. They played exactly how everyone said they would. Joshie is just a big dumb oaf quarterback who is going to be humbled soon. He can’t run around like that without getting hurt soon. Bigger people always hurt more with a fall
@Me Onmyown Hi Onmyown, if you’re talking to me I’m not being disloyal to my Rams – I’m a long time fan who literally cried when we lost the SB way back when to the Steelers. I’m just offering my congratulations to the Bills, Josh Allen and Von Miller – they spanked us plain and simple. We’ve been spanked before and have come back very strong – remember them 49’ers in the regular season. 🙂
In the long run this game means little to the success of the season… the rams can use this as a wake up call and give the team more of a reason to prove the haters wrong.

@Pudgy we got 1A and 1B. He’ll pop off in multiple games this year. He just might not be the fantasy rb you want lol fantasy and real football are to different things. He’ll be just fine.
We do need to look for some O-Line depth tho cause Matt can’t be getting hit like that every game smh
Matt holds the ball too long, Josh Allen never held the ball for more then 3 seconds.
He won’t get hit THAT bad every game even if Rams don’t change their o line. Bills D line is for real, only Bills fans know but we tried to warn everyone

Okay so there was a few issues 1) O-Line 2) Turnovers 3) Kupp getting the ball every play
So I don’t understand why Kupp was the only WR Stafford threw too & O-line needs step the tf up can’t expect to win a game especially against the Bills how the way we just played!!
7 sacks says a lot about our offense. Woods was definitely a really big loss as his presence being gone feels like matthew is under really bad pressure.

Before this game I already had the feeling Stafford would be sacked multiple times due to poor offensive line and Cam Akers is a bust. I think Liam Cohen needs to step up. The Rams need to get bigger size running back and bigger protection for Stafford.

The Rams have 10 days to make some changes and there will be. The Bills had 4 turnovers and still won by 21 going away.

@William TODD here’s the thing. Do you realize the Bills did not blitz one time, still sacked Stafford 7 times. I’m a Bills fan first but always liked the Rams . The bills have a lot of depth all the way around, Qb is been almost perfect for the last 7 games they played (going back to last season) . Rams ran into a buzzsaw they weren’t prepared for.

FACTS
That Tutu Atwell pick is still haunting the Rams. We could have used that high pick for an OL. Its more obvious now since we lucked out on Lance McCutcheon. Lance McCutcheon should have been active in this game.
OL depth with Creed Humphrey and Logan Bruss was attainable but was not for some reason. Speaking of tandems I was wondering how it would be to contain a running game that included Josh Allen and Derrick Henry in the same back field.

A real disappointing opening game but love the way Sean is taking responsibility and how he will fix it. We’ll be ok, this is The NFL but each wk we’ll have to get after it !
I really love Coaches attitude how he always assumed responsibility & protects his players, especially Stafford & that O Line. They are both a reflection of one a other in their quest for more success, another SB Sean and staff will figure it out. The fact is Matthew needs solid protection to perform well. Josh Allen can get away with lines protection breaking down due to his youth & athletic ability. When Matthew is pressured he reverts back to his Detroit Lions days and makes costly errors, mistakes, throws, pics Etc Etc Throw the ball away & live to fight another down. Too many QBs worried about stats & performance rather then winning the game. They have into pressure. Matthew is vulnerable to all those things. If they fail to defeat Atlanta which they shouldn’t, could very well be a li g & dire year!
Josh Allen is going to have a short career if Buffalo keeps using him as a runner in that offense.
First game of the season they still need time to work together. Bills got this one congrats to them I guess that superbowl hangover still got us in the end. Hopefully they can get it together during the season. Let’s go RAMS.
