Bills General Manager Brandon Beane addressed the media on Wednesday, January 26th. Topics include: the final 13 seconds of the Chiefs playoff game, retaining free agents or looking outside of the organization this offseason, what he saw from his rookie class this year, what he got from Wide Receiver Cole Beasley this year and his projection for the future, how he would assess the Bills run game as a whole this season, potential overtime rule changes, potential departures of Brian Daboll and Leslie Frazier and the possibility of losing other assistants among those departures, his thoughts on a potential contract extension with Tremaine Edmunds, what he saw from Harrison Phillips this season and the potential of bringing him back as a free agent, what his conversations were like with Josh Allen on Monday, Jerry Hughes' expiring contact, the possibility of playing a game overseas next season, and how the standard of the team changes given the success the team has had this season.

Christie Allen

Thank you for your commitment and hard work as General Manager.

As a Bills and Leafs fan I do wonder what will happen first: Leafs winning a playoff round for the first time since 2004 or the Bills playing in a Super Bowl with Josh Allen as their QB?

Carl

What a class act. I have full confidence in Beane.

Connor Jo

Aw 🥺 his apology felt so genuine, I love this man

Largemouth Hunter

Can we please discuss Not allowing coaches to interview for jobs while we are still in the playoffs !! 😡 calling 2 timeouts and STILL using the prevent Defense against HILL & KELCE was nails in the coffin for us

Daniel Finn

He sounds like he genuinely feels like we do. I’m still so demolished by this game😞

    Asc

Was rooting for you guys. Literally only one decision cost the game. That kick off that wasn’t a pooch kick. But man if that’s the only mistake made the entire playoff run that says alot. And who knows mahomes still might have gone down the field w 7 seconds left. Crazy game.

James Moore

I think Sean had poor clock management should have won that game against the chiefs

ChookyWookiee

I love this man. Smart, level headed and down to earth. We are in good hands

    Ken Lubkowski

    100% Agree. He’s so genuine.

“I can’t watch it right now, I’m not in a good spot” says it all. This man hurts just like the rest of us. All the confidence in the world in Mr. Brandon, he’s a Buffalo Bill for life already.

I feel the pain, I skip over all the highlights that pop up. I feel a lot of people can’t relive that game right now. Very emotional game for sure. 😔

    Brandon is overrated.

    Bee J. See

@walter Wasileff He drafted Josh Allen. But he’s overrated. Put the pipe down buddy. I’ll take him over any other GM just due to the fact he actually cares for the players/fans/city.

Thank you Brandon for a wonderful season. I actually think the team grew this season in many areas. We got closer than ever. Last time we played KC we were not as competitive. This year we got really close. The biggest takeway for me is that I am convinced Josh is the guy we’ve been waiting for. Many young players matured and contributed to the team success. Only thing we should improve on is to win as many games as possible (especially the ones we should’ve won, i.e. Jaxonville game) so we can play KC in Buffalo next year.

Booyakah

He is amazing
. Calm, confident and honest. What a far cry from Russ Brandon and Doug Whaley. He is absolutely right about the Bills rebuilding effort vs Chiefs. Chiefs had most of the pieces in place when Andy Reid, who had already won a super bowl as an assistant coach and been to another as a HC, was hired. In our case, the rebuild really started in 2018 and we have been to three playoffs since then. I am confident that we will win a Super Bowl with this crew.

Sanders had an amazing career and it will be sad to see him leave the game. I’m so glad Josh Allen was able to get you your fist and last playoff touchdown. Sanders will always have a home with Bills Mafia <3

I have to say Brandon Beane had a good mindset while talking to the press about reflecting about this season. I think the Bills are going to need one or two more good Caliber defensive players in order to beat the Chiefs Next season and try to get to get the Lombardi. As a patriots fan, I have deep respect for the Bills and what they do to win. We’re going to have a thorn in our side in years to come while trying to battle for the AFC East. I expected if they get everything together with their young studs and veterans and bring some talent etc, a super bowl title next season or two. Looking forward for great competition from not just this division but other good teams in the AFC and beyond.

I love my bills and always will and have 100% confidence in Brandon Kim and Sean that we will be ready for next season. I’ve been a fan my whole life and feel great for our future. Guys, fans, players, management, keep your heads up we are not done!!

Sam Lerner

Our time will come. GO BILLS

Danny Trala

everything we have started with this man. this man took all the weight of the drought years and all our disbelief we had in this team for so many years on his shoulders and changed it. look at us now mafia. we are somewhere we always wished to be at but never thought we would end up at. I love this guy and fully believe in anything he does for this team. He’s one of us! cant wait to see what he does going forward. full confidence in him. ride or die for this man. we all hurt together. Go Bills

side not him and his wife for every touchdown the Bills scored they payed an adoption fee of an animal from SPCA. This man and his family deserve key to the city. what more can you ask for? so much love for the Beane family

Flash Point Blank

I have faith in this man and our whole organization. They wont let this go…

Imran Hossain

We need 3 things, 1) A fast defensive power player
2) an offense that can blitz
3) An offensive line that can protect allen and the running back

    Anthony

The Bills OLine is pretty great when fully healthy, not sure what games you’ve been watching.

This is it End of Line

Brandon Beane is a leader! He’s a football guy first and it shows how he’s able to speak to the game, positions, but also the importance of mind set and preparation like he’s a coach.

I love that he’s the GM and that he’s always hungry to find new pieces, but mindful of priorities (protecting Josh). I also love that he’s not some accountant who’s only talent lies in min-maxing contracts for quick returns or some board room type who gets his feathers ruffled if some irrelevant corporate nonsense is making waves behind the scene (see Miami).

I hate that we lost. I hate that it was to KC, AGAIN! But the core of this team is special and the time for winning is now! Like Brandon said, it starts with the off-season and the journey resets in 2022.

No need for Bean to say sorry. He has built a team here in buffalo that we can be proud of and excited for. Weve been through heartbreak before and we probably will again every team does. Thank you Brandon from north of the border 🇨🇦

Toaster N'Friends

Beane is incredibly well-spoken; he gives thorough, clear and honest answers to every question.

Our future is even brighter.
