I have higher goals. I would like to see the Texans get to a Super Bowl.
The Texans played good defense during the O’Brien years, but never made it to the Super Bowl.
Why? Because it takes more than a good defense to get a team to the Super Bowl.
The LA Rams understood that. They went out and got Matt Stafford to take their offense to the next level.

Nick is a professional he knows how to talk to the media. Best gm we have had in a long time. I’ll allways be a Texans fan though thick and thin what it means to be a true fan. Plus the Texans are involved in the community of Houston football is more than just a game

@Chris Barrera Three winning teams in 20 years? That’s terrible. Did you realize that 18 years after the Oilers were formed, they had Bum Phillips, Earl Cambell, Dan Pastorini, etc, and the Luv Ya Blue thing was raging. They were playing in the conference champoinship two years in a row and had the best team of the 70s not stood in their way would have probably won a Superbowl? Compare that to the Texans, who 20+ years on are still a trainwreck. Winning the weakest division in football, only to get destroyed in the playoffs when they had to play a real contender does not cut it with me. Face it, their playoff appearances have been embarrassing. Not even close to being a real contender. Ever!

Texans got played by both Deshaun Watson and the Browns. With that no trade clause, all that desperate teams had to do is come up with something appealing to Watson. It did not matter if it was appealing to the Texans or not. The Texans got reamed. They did not get one single established player in the trade, and exactly ONE extra pick in this years draft. If the Browns have success with Watson, their draft picks in 2023 and 2024 are going to be very late in the round picks. Probably after 26th. So much for a fast rebuild. Way to go Texans
That’s not true. Deshaun Watson played the Browns and himself with that huge contract and sneaky move. Karma will give him what he deserves. If he wins the Superbowl? Then great. I don’t think he will though.

1) Use the extra picks to infuse better talent than is there now.
2) Grow the team as a place where players *want* to come to.
3) Sustain improvement.

The Texans will probably draft either DE Thibodeaux or FS Hamilton with the 3rd pick and either CB Stingley Jr or WR London with the 13th pick. LB Lloyd is a dark horse pick.
And if Caserio still has the rest of the draft, a big cap space and another big draft class coming in next year to turn this thing around a lot quicker than most people think.
What I want to know is, why haven’t Cal McNair spoke about the D. Watson trade. If that would have been his daddy he would spoke to the media about the trade. I Think Cal McNair don’t know what the hell he’s doing and thats why he is letting Nick Caserio do all the talking.
