    Not in a million years

    Divine_Wrath

If we’re rebuilding since is most likely, it ain’t happening anytime soon.

    Msufan666

@Austin Rich To be fair, Lions went three years ago

xPhaNToM_LioNx

Ironic this series is called 3 & out because that’s what happens everytime the Lions get the ball on offense and never happens on defense 😂🤣

Divine_Wrath

Get rid of Rod Wood. The fact Rod is going to have a say in the hiring of the new GM and HC screams SOL to me. He knows nothing about football and Chris Spielman does.

    manseated

I’ve been wondering aloud myself, why this man with no football experience gets a free pass ?? I understand he manages the Ford’s money but he needs to hand off this role

manseated

they’ve got a great guy in place in Darrell Bevell ~ don’t overlook his chances to instill some fire into this team

Drow Jackson

We will win a super bowl once the culture of this organization changes. Letting football people make football decisions instead of family friends

If Shelia can just do that things will change dramatically. Dont let non-football guys make football decisions

    PredatorKingdom

You’re absolutely right this is one of the best posts I’ve seen from any Lions fan this season. It doesn’t matter who they truly bring in unless the organization changes its culture from the top nothing will ever change. Once they fix that then things will finally change and the Lions will finally be in a position to win their first Super Bowl. It’s on Sheila to do some things different than her parents did.

Turner Burley

I think Spielmann would be a better Coach than GM!!! I wonder if he is interested!!!!

    jayson taylor

    No spotlight for Chris

Disco

5:55 Cephus was absolutely WIDE open coming across the middle. Would’ve been a first down and more

    xborn coolx

man, he was wide open huh. boneheaded pass by matthew.

zman gaming

Detroit has talent we just had a coach that didn’t know how to use that talent. I believe matt Patricia was holding everyone back he was a great defensive cornatior he just wasn’t ready to be a head coach

Eric Learn

The lions need to get Chris involved in some sort of capacity in the front office one of the smartest announcers in football

Alejandro Rojas

Let’s go Bev!!!!

PredatorKingdom

I think we’ve proven over the past 11 seasons why Stafford has never been able to get his team over the top and that’s because of the top of the organization. Sheila needs to be different from her parents and change the culture of the organization. Schwartz, Caldwell, and Patricia didn’t fail because they were bad or mediocre coaches they failed because the organization they work for never did anything to change the culture. Sheila is going to have to have do things different there and then once that happens maybe the Lions will finally have a legit shot at getting a Super Bowl title but until then the same ole same ole will happen and repeat itself no matter who we hire. If nobody believes me then please answer me why Steve Mariucci failed here when he was a huge success with the 49ers before that? It’s clear the organizations are the difference here.

    Jerel Travis

First off you make great points. Secondly Steve was good because he took over a team that had HOFers that was coached by a HOFer. Steve lucked up with that job and as soon as his Garcia experiment failed he was fired from sf. And I think Chris is the perfect person to help the Ford family implement a winning culture.

    PredatorKingdom

@Jerel Travis Thanks man I appreciate it and what you said is 100% fact. This is where working for the Lions makes you look like a failure. Steve Mariucci came into a situation in San Francisco where like you said everything was structured for him. It’s the same exact thing we’re seeing in Green Bay with Matt LaFleur right now where the organization is so strong at the top that Matt LaFleur would likely be a failure in most NFL cities but in Green Bay, he looks like a winner because he has a future HOF QB at the helm. We won’t know for sure if Matt LaFleur is the real deal or not until Jordan Love takes snaps full-time under center. If the Lions was a strong organization at the top it wouldn’t matter who the Lions hire they would win more than they lose. This is why this portion of the organization has to change so we don’t end up with what we had in the past 60 years. I like Chris Spielman to be someone who helps the Ford family as well, he has enough of a passion to make sure this thing turns around. Chris reminds me of Mike Mayock from the Raiders he would change things within the culture right away.

    Jerel Travis

@PredatorKingdom I couldn’t have said it better!! Tbh before the matt millen era the lions were an in house team. The two biggest names in pro football today (bill in New England, and lebeau in Pittsburg) got their starts as lions.I think the true way to build a culture is to stay in-house meaning the family implements some type of system where they give their former players their first jobs after retirement. That’s where I think the culture would come from. Because the fords haven’t been as hands on as they should’ve been, where as Martha and Sheila have been, signing spielman would be super positive for the whole franchise. Hell Herman Moore already said the same thing and they’ve already apologized to Barry for the past this type of stuff goes along way when players coming in see how tight knit a franchise is and it would probably make them perform better or at least try

xborn coolx

chris if there’s anything we can do to help push you into the front offices let us know!

andrew kingandrew900

I really hope they hire Spielman. Even if it’s linebacker coach. Seems like a really knowledgeable football guy
