Minus Dickson’s flub in the end zone, the Hawks played a balanced, well-rounded game. The biggest change was the defense’s discipline. They had some tacky penalties last week in NO, but without playing a clean game, flags and lost yards were killer last time around. This time they committed to their technique and gameplay, they didn’t gamble, and only allowed one 4th down conversion. Now if they can get special teams up to par, this game would be iced by the start of the 4th quarter. Great Game Hawks!

Cards offense reminds me a lot of Seattle the past few seasons. If you take away the deep ball and keep Kyler in the pocket he’s not an effective passer. Our defensive line is terrible but in sundays game they looked like a stellar group. Kyler and Russ are both average at best when forced to throw from the pocket majority of a game. This was like going back in time watching Seattle’s offensive line get blown up every Sunday because teams precisely knew to have 2 deep safeties and force Russ to stay in the pocket. I feel bad for the Cards fans…. Russ and Kyler take a lot of sacks and show many similarities. Not a good game plan long term.
