Nobody above 11 wins? Don’t even post if it’s gonna be that stupid NFL.
When you run so many simulations, less and less outliers are prevalent. Let’s take the Chiefs for example (because their projected the highest and therefore are probably a favorite in most of their games). For a good amount of their games I imagine they win at least 70% of simulations. But that’s the thing, they can only get .7 wins for each of those games. Then factor in more difficult games where they can only get .65, .6, or even .51, and their win total can only be so high. These aren’t made to be accurate, because no team in this data is going to get 1 win for 1 game, like it is in real life.
As much as I’d like to rag on these projections, that’s kinda all they are. Projections. Theres way too many variables to lock down how good or bad most teams are gonna be this year, this far away from the season even starting.
The video may be bad and way off what will actually happen. But it gives starved sports junkies something to talk about, so I can appreciate what it is

@Rudra Pandya in what world would the broncos be better than the chargers lmao. The offense clearly doesnt keep up with the chargers and the defenses are neck and neck. Giving the slight edge to the chargers. Keep in mind derwin james is coming back and theyve upgraded the o line as well.

When you have thousands of simulations, most teams will trend closer to .500, but we know that, in real life, teams will probably deviate from that.
Mason Kinningham Do you not understand how percentage and stats work? The numbers assigned to each team is the baseline amount of wins each team is predicted to have. No more no less. Now those teams can either have more wins or less wins depending only on the wins and losses of other teams. That’s why they are given decimal points. Packers have a higher decimal point because they have a higher chance of ranking up or having a higher record. The only two teams with the highest scores are the teams that are statistically the most balanced. This isn’t the traditional, this team has 13 wins, this team has 3 wins model. This is a model that gives average wins based on last season’s performance, post draft and free agency, a likelihood to have more wins/go to the super bowl. This is more a grade on each team’s likelihood to go to the Super Bowl than it is a specific number prediction for their season record.

When you average out thousands of simulations, most teams will trend closer to .500 (no teams had less than 4 wins or more than 12.) We know that in real life, there will be some outliers, but we don’t know who they’ll be right now.
Basically, imagine it as a “plus/minus” and not as “This is what I think will happen”

I don’t find this believable because it seems all of the teams will go around 8-8 or 9-7. Also, it seems no team will be worse than 5-11 or better than 11-5. This just doesn’t seem right.
These are so dumb. I love the Bills but the Texans winning 6 games is hilarious to me. KC has a .500 opponent schedule, they might go 14-2.

I’d say alot of the teams have become overall equal with certain outliers in both AFC/NFC. Seems right but of course anything can/will happen.
