Only different stats from 2019 and 2020 was that lock was better in 2019 and finished with a better record in 2019
Drew lock missed 4 game’s and driskel and rypien combined for about 7 interceptions, plus gordon had 4 fumbles and kendall hinton had 2 interceptions

Yes but facts show Drew Lock was guaranteed a turnover/int every game. He just happened not to play those 4 game so statistically speaking he would of been much closer to 20 ints or more.
@Lord Bane well he had like 2 or 3 games with no picks. 2 with those fumbles. And the raiders game had 0 turnovers
@Lexsi Smith late in the year. Prior to that he had 11 straight games he played with a turnover/int.

Hope you hear that Drew Lock fanboys. Drew Lock and our QB position is the problem. Trying to blame Pat Shurmur for the decision making of what the QBs were doing is insane. Our offense improved across the board except passing. A QB solves everything. A bad QB will make EVERY coach look “bad”. And that is what Drew Lock was this year “BAD”. Facts are our overall talent we have is capable for a playoff run but that only happens with a QB and we dont have time to wait and hope for Drew Lock to develop. We dont have to cut him but dont guarantee him to start under center. Make him compete for his job and also have a plan B option. Draft another QB
I agree with have another option, but I would not draft someone, because then you are just giving yourself another project. I would go the route of singing a FA like Dalton or Mariota or Minshew or any decent vet that is there to challenge Lock, and mentor him in a way.
Play design for passing wasn’t helping Drew cause they didn’t give him any simple routes to throw fast and gain 5 yards or more on quick throws

This is why we have to give Lock at least one more year to prove himself, he should never be out of the conversation! I think we get a QB off the FA like Dalton or Foles or Mariota or Minshew just to name a few, and make them compete, although if that happens Lock will start week 1 100%. It will just be something in his mind always like “if you’re bad we can just put in this guy we got from FA no questions asked”.
Drew Lock deserves another year. I don’t think a lot of impatient fans will agree but so what? The numbers show improvement and not just year to year. There is marked improvement when you compare the beginning of the year to the end. Why spend all year to work on him and make progress to then turn around and start all over again? This is especially relevant for the people calling for us to draft another QB. Absolutely the worst decision in my opinion. Bring in a veteran back up just in case next year goes south but give the kid a shot to grow. He’s worth it.
One more thing. Go look at Manning and Elway’s first two years and compare the stats. Most of the complainers would have run their messiah out before he even had a chance. Lock hasn’t even had 2 full years.

Every single response from Albright was in defense of drew lock. I mean I get it but be at least a lil neutral and be real with yourself about lock
