This is our year ✈️✈️✈️

    Born2ShitForced2Wipe

@Bob Saleh Okay, make that 17-0 now lol

    Eddy McGuire

@Born2ShitForced2Wipe you can get one of those super wealthy toilets which would eliminate you from being forced.

    Brendan Fletcher

@Born2ShitForced2Wipe That has them winning 3.5 as many games as last year and is at least respectable. For a rebuilding year with a rookie QB I’ll take it, I just want to see progress on both sides of the ball and intelligent coaching that can actually adapt mid-game.

    Mr. Rekt

@Born2ShitForced2Wipe name me a team that’s gone to the superbowl after coming from a 2 win season? A 7-10 season is still a huge leap considering you have a rookie QB and a rookie HC (with all new staff)

Would I like more wins as a fan… Absolutely, but I’m still tempering my expectations.

    Born2ShitForced2Wipe

@Mr. Rekt 7-10 would still be good progress. I was just messing around, really. I hope The Jets get better and are playoff contenders. I’m a Raven fan but I still appreciate seeing a normally bad team become better.

L T

People are sleeping Mims and are taking what happened in OTAs too seriously. Mims is going to have a big leap in year 2. Mainly because Zach Wilson distributes the ball to all his receivers and doesn’t lock in on one 1, like Darnold was doing

    Eddy McGuire

To be somewhat fair, Sam had less than zero time and that doesn’t include the Gase face offense or whatever that was.

    L T

@Eddy McGuire nope, not true. Sam locked on to his 1st receiver even when he had plenty of time to throw. Its a false narrative that Sam Darnold was always running for his life Because of your O line. There were plenty of plays when he had time to throw and either he locked in on his primary receiver or scrambled and missed wide open receivers, including Mims. Its no coincidence that Mims had his best games with Flacco as the QB

    Eddy McGuire

@L T I completely disagree and Sam will prove that out this year. Also, Sam had no problem whatsoever getting the ball to Robby A. Robby Mims same. Watch year one tape, Sam was hitting 2, 3rd reads often

Eddy McGuire

If he’s 100% committed — he can be Al Toon star status. We’ll see if the early motivation Saleh threw at him in OTAs sticks. If not that dude, Keelan that was down in Tampa working out with Zach will blow right by him. Like the Spirit of DMX says, it’s all about them Dawgs!

Joe Campione

They only have 1 ball with 6 competent recievers,a rookie QB with maybe 20 attempts per game

    Brendan Fletcher

20 is a little low, Sanchez averaged 25 his rookie year and Darnold almost 32. I’d expect Wilson to be mid 20’s, which could go higher if their corners can’t keep offenses off the field and they’re playing behind.

    Joe Campione

@Brendan Fletcher I could see the Sanchez 25 per game max, the Jets ruined Sanchez ,Smith and Sam. I think ground and pound and add to Wilson’s workload slowly. I Really think Douglas knows what he is doing.

    Brendan Fletcher

@Joe Campione Hey, if Michael Carter turns out to be who we hope he is then combined with Coleman and Johnson (and Perine I guess) I’d be fine with them running a ton and not forcing Zach to throw. But if he’s successful and it’s going well, who knows! This is the first year in a while I’m legitimately excited by the offensive potential. They have a solid, young group of playmakers.

    Joe Campione

@Brendan Fletcher Ground & pound ,control both offensive and defensive line. Protect the ball and make Wilson into a high end game manager with the potential to become a star.

Jonny

During OTA and mini camp, he was with the second team. Where is the break out?

PFF must not understand the difference between Gase & Mike LaFleur. The shotgun/deep drops and prolonged downfield routes are not a thing in a Shanahan based offense…and that’s what suits a large bodied sideline athlete like Mims. I’d bet K Cole (who is PERFECT for quickly snapping off from his route stem) gets more action and produces more consistently than Mims. I think Mims would be best suited to focus on developing some bully power to his game (in the Boldin & B Marshall style), and that would make him a better target for LaFleur’s shorter drop-backs, quick reads, and play action/boot action stuff.

“Mims was hamstringed by poor QB play and scheme.” And…by his hamstring.

    Lites

    both hamstrings

BeastMaster69

All Jets fans want is a Mims breakout. (including me) lol

Dennis Montalvo

Crowder will be on top.

    Anthony Maldonado

Yah if Elijah Moore gets hurt

Thomas Craig

He’ll be fine him & mike will bring it with zach

Michael N

Although I wish this to be true as a Jets fan. PFF has also rated Mark Sanchez as the worst Jets pick over the last 15 years which is far from the truth. Can’t trust whoever is doing the analysis over there at PFF..

Ire

lets GOOOOO JETS

Jay Bird

I’m very surprised that people (Including Jet fans) are sleeping on Mims! When he was on the field, he seemed like our best receiver! His catch radius is off the charts! I’m looking for him to have a big year!
