Will the Bills Add to the RB Position? | Bills By The Numbers Ep. 18 | Buffalo Bills

In this week's Bills by the Numbers podcast presented by FanDuel, Chris Brown and Steve Tasker discuss whether or not Devin Singletary might need some help in Buffalo's offensive backfield and what might the team be looking for? We quiz Steve with some true/false scenarios on Singletary's 2021 success in The Numbers Game. We examine why kickers have been so productive this postseason. Finally, One Burning Question lends a possible answer to which team might score more points in this year's Super Bowl matchup between the Rams and the Bengals.

I think our O line needs fixing, whether that’s Kromer or personnel or both or something else, it just needs fixing. Fix the O line so Josh does not need to be superhuman every down, and then hopefully Motor can benefit more. I think the late-season push after Bates came in, validates my points

    Amy

    Exactly!

    Johnny Blaze

Our o-line is fine now. Our starting 5 should be set but needs depth.

    Paul Deck

@Johnny Blaze Bates is an RFA….Feliciano, either something wrong w/ him or he played to get an overvalued contract….Williams, UFA….Ford, maybe Kromer can help unlock him maybe he’s a wasted roster spot again….and THEN we can talk about depth. Morse, Dawkins, Brown are all that’s “set” about this O-line right now. Just facts man

Ric Blic

I think they will go CB, they have tried the free agent route, a shut down corner opposite White with Hyde and Poyer and Johnson on the slot WR, on O they already proved they can put 30-40 points up against anyone with what they already have, that secondary could rival the legion of boom

Stains And Grains

Yes Dev needs help, or a trade

Stewart LaFave

You know in the first few minutes, like we did in the Metrodome when Kenny Davis went the wrong way on a play call designed for Thurman’s speed, first play from scrimmage. Or that interception on the first play of the second drive. Was not our night, right from the start.

Mark Duguay

How about Seattle’s Rashad Penny?

Johnny Blaze

Bills need a perimeter runner that can run outside and run the stretch plays. That’s something Singletary and Moss cannot do effectively. A Pollard/Kamara, type back that has speed, can run outside, and has receiving ability. Why do we keep running those outside option runs with Allen and those jet sweeps w/ McKenzie? Because that’s our “solution” to running outside because we can’t with our RB’s and that’s a big problem. Want Allen to run less and solve the problem of possibly losing McKenzie? Get a RB that can run outside.

intimidatortj

Yes they will let Breida hit free agency and then sign Ronald Jones.

Jeremy Spencer

Instead of drafting a RB, can we just CLONE 7 Josh Allen’s? Here’s how it works
1 for Backup QB
1 for Running Back
2 O Line
2 Edge
1 Punter
🤷🏻‍♂️

lewis harper

They just need to run the ball more no need for a running back

reddog9401

this team needs a great elite pass rusher,i expected the defense to make a few plays against kansas city and they were a total let down.

    Mike Lalewicz

Yes absolutely. We had hands on Mahomies almost every pass play. Biscuit or Bruuuce in their prime would have been sweet. We have six high effort low result DE’s at present.

The Bills desperately need a RB. Having a good one will make our offense much more dynamic. It will force defenses out of the cover 2 coverage and bring them closer to the line of scrimmage, which will create more one on ones opportunities on the outside for WRs Diggs and Davis.
I highly recommend we draft RB Breece Hall from Iowa State. He is 6ft 1, 220 pounds and runs a 4.3, has great vision and agility. He should still be available at 25th pick.

Brian Doty

Multiple positions could use improvement but, IMO, a big bruising running back is needed most. Again, just my opinion….

Troy Gabrielson

Isaiah Mckenzie should be a starting wide receiver as well and Gabriel Davis and Digg’s 1 2 3 in no order with Knox and if we can Keep Cole to come in when needed.

johnnytr0uble

I say we develop Brieda more. He seems to have the raw talent.

RENEGADE13

Motor is all we need! I freaking love that guy!!!

Randy Lamb

Our most pressing need is another monster defense tackle to team with Star.

Dilly_Dilly_Dale

They need to protect their quarter billion dollar QB and they need defensive speed plus a other good WR…if they improve the line our HBs will improve…we meet a DT that can open the game up for Tremaine edmunds as well

david schadt

Trade Beasley and a draft pick for saquon Barkley see if you can add gronk in free agency draft a corner with your first-round pick and interior offensive line help with your second or third

Edward Kowalczyk

Man, I know I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes, but I would love to see Wade in a game or two as a RB #2. See him get a chance…..

Gene Nodine

What we need is a Jerome Bettis type that can plow thru the line and always get those 2 -3 yds on 3rd down.
