Wide Receivers Run the 40-Yard Dash at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine – FANTASY FOOTBALL FAN SITE
Siddharth Jadhav

That was the most casual 4.28 I ever saw from Ruggs

    Zak BB

maddengod 99 dawg i told you wassup if you gotta problem wassup

    maddengod 99

@Zak BB sprint time across different distances is not a linear function that’s wassup. So what ” math lmao” did you do?

    Zak BB

maddengod 99 dawg you annoying i ain’t explaining it to you

    maddengod 99

@Zak BB cuz you are wrong

    Jeff Cavaliere's Dumbbell

@Elliott Wood thanks a ton yo

illtrollurmom

man chase claypool is 6’4 and ran a 4.42

    SW Productions

illtrollurmom Height gives you an advantage because your stride is longer

    Future Society Of Gentlemen

I’ve seen this movie before. Means nothing. A dude who is 6’4 should run a sub 4.6, less strides to the finish….lol.

    Don Cooper

@Jacob Couvutsakis agree he going in the first round watch and see

    illtrollurmom

Future Society Of Gentlemen not true at all. why isint every sprinter 6’5 like bolt then? because it’s way more difficult to accelerate. tall runners have their advantage when they hit top speed, but it’s more difficult to do so for them, especially in a short run like a 40 yard dash.

    Young Crip

Aid_an. He’s actually 6’3 now they re did his height still good tho

Bruce Rivers

I can’t wait to see my Cardinals draft either Juedy or Lamb

    ramonmonch

MrWalkwaySc2 they need a number one receiver their best receiver that have is 36 years old and none had 1000 yards

    MrWalkwaySc2

ramonmonch they do but if your QB can’t throw the ball then a talented receiver won’t make a huge difference.

    Antonio Felix

    AZ gotta go with Lamb

    Khari Lane

@Christian Mühlberger Don’t sleep on Ruggs III. I’m thinking he could definitely play the role AB was supposed to play in our offense last year.

    Khari Lane

Raiders are not gonna let the Donkeys have Ruggs. To have too face that kind of speed twice a year is bad enough with Hill on the Chiefs. No way we want to do it four times a year. We will trade up to get him if we have to!!!

Sllannid

Ruggs is pure speed

    SuperFireX

ORANGE HIGHLIGHTS uh broncos do not need a receiver

I mean they do but offensive line is more important for them.

    Bubby Davenport

@Fhjdj Ehdhjdn u shouldnt just come in our argument like this and just call people dumb
    Just say u disagree

    SickN

@SuperFireX broncos have courtland sutton and that’s about it tim Patrick and deshawn Hamilton are pretty much #3 and #4 WRs we need a speed guy to compliment sutton. However the wr depth is huge in this draft I predict the broncos get a WR in the 1st or second round. 1st round WRs are gonna drop to the early 2nd round of course ruggs will be gone by then but we will still draft A wr

    blkcaz1

@Bubby Davenport Raiders gonna grab Ruggs. The next Cliff Branch.

Mohammed Toure

Ruggs official was 4.27, so John Ross’s record is safe. But cheer up y’all, Javaris Davis is gonna give that time a run for its money on Sunday.

    Mai baby

@Pearson Conrique like Hamler. Not my favorite KJ but most def fastest WR in the big ten

    Pearson Conrique

Mai baby ummm probably also at the top for fastest in the country like top 5

    FBI

    is that faster than tyreek

    IceSnxpes

    albert o was 4.27 if u do .25 speed

    Daniel Coronado

Still more impressed with johnson’s 40 as a running back compared to a thin wide receiver who is supposed to run 4.2-4.4. js

Jacob Calabro

Chris Finke: only white receiver

Commentator: He’ll be a good slot receiver

    Nathan Corless

@C. H. speed isnt everything especially if its only by tenths of a second. Him being a slot guy its more about route running. If you’d like I can name a few greats who had worse than 4.5. Ocho Cinco, Jerry Rice, Cris carter, Anquon Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, Hines ward, and not to mention AB ran a 4.47

    Nathan Corless

@C. H. I’m not saying that that guy is anywhere near those guys but you can’t discount them just because they ran a mildly slower time

    Nick H

It’s a racial stereotype, not racism. Believe it or not, but they are not the same thing lol

    Ryan Ellison

    @Menzy reverse racism doesn’t exist.

TorriderMoth993

Damn these guys are fast!!!🏃🏿‍♂️💨

Jake Duvall

I can’t be the only one excited to see the O line 40s right?

    Joey Snow1

@Jacrispie Jackson how is it pointless? Lineman have to pull and block downfield

    troy smith

@DaRealConMan you know those big guys protect those qbs right without a ok line qbs get slaughtered.

    The RightStuff

    @DaRealConMan
… illustrating the best way to display fan ignorance

    Jacrispie Jackson

Joey Snow1 maybe 5 yards downfield. Not like they ever gonna run more than 10-15 yards max usually not even that much

ashton holloway

if you ask me, this wr class looks like the 2014 one. very deep with hidden gems

MUTG0D 2001

I’m telling everybody Claypool is gonna be a star

    Ryan Kennedy

@Ian Hom I’d be okay with us taking just about any of the top 10 receivers in this class😂 but that would be insane

    Ian Hom

Ryan Kennedy i would literally give howie a hug. He would be a philly hero. He’s gotta double dip at WR this year!

    Daniel Coronado

Rams finna steal him in the second round of he’s available at pick 52

    Daniel Coronado

@McStrokeAvision yet I bet you can’t even be a waterboy lmao

SteveyKnicks

Everyone that runs a 4.2 looks like they’re barely running lol. Makes no sense

    SteveyKnicks

@jon mar It can definitely be overrated. Gotta bring a lot along with it. Ruggs is actually a good player though, not just speedy.

    Corey Garcia

@TurbroCharged Well considering he ran a 4.22 40 wayyy after his prime and after not training for over a year, AND running in casual clothes and sneakers…. I’d say much faster than ANY NFL player who has ever tried. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADoySgg-njI

    April Adare

@SteveyKnicks Bolt is also a lean 6’5″…that height translates to a long stride. He’s taller than most of these guys, Ruggs is only 5’11” and the majority of these WOs seem bunched around the 6’0″ mark give or take an inch or two.

    Corey Garcia

@8MoneyIzmyMission8 You do know that these NFL players run in track shoes as well right? You can clearly see them. John Ross, Chris Johnson, the guys who ran the fastest times in the NFL Combine ALL wore track shoes. The field Coleman ran on is also the SAME EXACT synthetic surface that the NFL Combine uses. The only argument you have for John Ross being faster than Coleman would your argument of “but if they were the same weight” which is hypothetical.. So please stop suggesting that John Ross would run a faster 40 time or is faster than a trained Olympic level sprinter, that’s just ridiculous.

That run was not fake at all. it used the same laser-measuring system as the NFL Combine. Furthermore, his splits were measured at 40 meters, which are longer than yards. Also, the difference of the track would not make a huge difference, as the synthetic surface that is run on in the NFL Combine is a very good running surface that track athletes are also accustomed to running on. And again, Usain Bolt was 32 YEARS OLD when he ran that. Stop calling people idiots, it’s not nice.

    SteveyKnicks

@April Adare Yea, that’s why I said length is one of Bolt’s strengths.

Marco Lomeli

They keep sleeping on Michael Pittman JR

    faulerhans

@Dave Jmerson he just ran a 4.52 and you’re calling him slow?

    Marco Lomeli

    @Itz Litt yea same

    Marco Lomeli

@snsproduc yea I agree and Pittman is tall asf

    Marco Lomeli

@Dave Jmerson bruh the LSU we that won the award for best college receiver this past season ran the same time as him

    snsproduc

@Dave Jmerson just because some one is slow doesnt mean they can get good separation. Most nfl wr are slow that are good and the ones that are really fast die out because they dont have the strength to pull away

Koffee Kreme

As soon as Henry Ruggs III got off the line I said “whoa” before I even saw his time. You can visibly see a huge difference.

    eboogieb8

bruh after the first ten yards watch the mario cart turbo boost he get its crazy

    Shannon With The Mild

Can you give me a time stamp for that? I didn’t remember seeing him specifically

    Timbo

Watch game tape of him he has another gear past 40 yards. With his elite speed and prototypical WR build he will be a serious problem if paired with a good QB.

GMJ

Human being in peak form: runs 40 yards in 4.6 seconds.
TV commentator: Eh, needs a bit more juice

    Spoofaged

2 tenths of a second will make or break you in this meat market festival

    -Z3us -

Spoofaged because they are guys that run faster

    Brandon Porter

That’s because comparatively that’s not that fast

    Mai baby

I get yur point… But needs more juice

mille chemins

1:38 he can run…

dēaþ

Peoples-Jones is the workout warrior of the group.

Dolf Dervish

Titles off on the thumbnail..
It *should* say:
“QB’s run the 40 yard dash.”
You know. Consistency.. And stuff.

J K

A lot of these guys could benefit from some time with a sprinting coach

    Zamo's Top 5's

J K they all get with one months before combine

    J K

@Zamo’s Top 5’s Must not be listening to them or their coaches aren’t doing their jobs, tons of them are overpowering their first 3 strides with their launch and their head positions and posture aren’t progressive they’re snapping into them and losing time because of it.

Cloudy Cash

Am telling y’all now Michael Pittman Jr is gonna be an all-star

Aidan Lawson

Bruh I’m sitting here judging these guys run 10 yards per second while I eat cookies

    LeonLA

    Classic

    Haley Truelove

    Good choice, I’m having Cheetos

    Themoonpickle A.R

    I am on the toilet
