Idk a good coaches makes the most of the talent on their team. If anything this is on Pat for being a dated OC. He didn’t start doing a half way decent job until the last 5 to 6 games. No motion, poor usage of Lock out of the pocket. Running outside shouldn’t be something any team is in the habit of ignoring
