This is why I appreciate this show and Benjamin Albright… they get it. Not just hot takes. Or stat watching .. they get it. If your eyes can’t tell you that drew has made leaps and bounds with footwork (stepping up. Not throwing off back foot), improvements in reads, in taking what the defense gives u and putting solid drives together.. you are either blind or just a lock hater. Now yes the turnovers. Some on him. Some jsut trying to make something out of nothing in a lost game late. Same with the fumbles … he doesn’t feel the pressure at times other times the oline got blown past and he go blasted. Then the drops and not just jeudys … guys like Albert O, kj hamler on a pivotal 3rd down, etc … all those things affect Drew’s “stats” … but its to be expected… its essentially a rookie passing to rookies. Add sutton in the fold next year and it will be much better if lock continues to progress with his foot work and reads. Herbert looked less than herculean without allen. Wr1 matters. This season lock was just trying to learn too much at once … reads, footwork, playbook, recievers tendencies/timing, the oline etc. I truly believe lock can be a top half of the NFL qb. That aint mahommes but its good enough to win games and compete.
I could not agree more with you. I knew this year was going to be painful to watch as a Broncos fan but I also knew this year was about the team as a whole gelling together. Its been far from perfect but the most important thing to take away from all of this, is Locks progress. With each game, he gets better and better and not only does he see that but everyone around him is picking it up the confidence that he radiates. This team has a bright future and I look forward to seeing what unfolds.

Great analysis. NOT.. Lets try to be truly objective in Lock performance to date instead of displaying false objectivity while at same time showing your real bias for Drew Lock. I want Drew to succeed as much as anyone buy unfortunately he has not.. Very little improvements that earned and deserve another start under center. Too much talent on this team to wait and hope for his development if that even happens. Too few flashes of good that is overshadowed by the bad performance. We all know his problems. It is glaring and obvious but now fanboys are going to the “What if” scenario in Drew Locks defense. Really? That is the best we got for his play? This speaks volumes. On how desperate Broncos Country is. Wow. What if D. Hamilton got the touchdown. This would of improve Drew Locks stats so on and so forth. Guess what news flash it didnt happen. We can play that same “What if” game with all the bad stuff. The potential two picks that should of happen Drew threw that easly went through their hands. Maybe that should of happened and maybe you all would be more honest with yourself regarding your evaluation of Drew Lock.
We have talent but alot of that talent got injured and he had to play with rookie receivers, also it doesn’t matter if you have talent if the coaching can’t use it correctly

His Arm looks fine to me
He still throws with plenty of zip. IMO, some of the drops I’ve seen on film this year are because the receiver wasn’t expecting as much pepper as Drew put on the ball. Usually his problem isn’t accuracy. Usually it’s timing (which I expect to get better as Drew has more time with his receiving corps), footwork (not setting his back foot, or adding an extra hitch before he throws), or decision making (which has gotten WAY better since the beginning of the year). The 2020 broncos (though there was a lot of disappointment) gave me more to look forward to than any team since Peyton retired. I’m genuinely excited for what this young team develops into next year.
I suggest we keep moving forward with the people we have. Look at Watson in Houston. He has had a great year but no wins. Lock and the young players need more time together!
Broncos country tonight, trying to make the Broncos and QB an issue. Truth is, I can hardly watch the first half of the Broncos games this year. By the end of the first half, the Broncos and Lock are not relevant…Time to clear the front office of the Broncos, or Sell the team. Now thats relevant!!
Everyone has to remember where josh Allen was he’s first 16 starts .. full 16 starts lol drew lock has better numbers .. in every category lol he’s a baller let drew get josh Allen’s accuracy coach in the off season he will come back a different guy watch
