Well that’s why they have Hubbard… plus Hudson and Hance are still developing, no reason they can’t eventually step in and be productive next year when called upon. This line runs on Bitonio and Teller… they are BEASTS. This is also why the Browns need to keep the focus on the running game.
@Bryan Hallman Conklin was ranked 20th out of 83 tackles this year, and that’s with all the injuries. They just have to see where they are at with him, and do their best to develop Hance, Hudson for now. Assuming they aren’t drafting a QB in 2023, they can get a RT in the 1st or 2nd round then.
@running beard Conklin may not be on the team after June 1st. Hance, Dunn, Taylor and Hudson all got blown up at critical times. There is a serious need to upgrade the reserves, and find a new starting right tackle.
@Bryan Hallman I agree but I think Hudson was always a developmental guy and was forced in to early. He improved immensely from Day 1 to the end of the year. That was the reason he was a 4th round pick, he only played LT for 1 year at Cincy

The WR group is so deep, that we could even trade down and get a very good WR. I like Alec Pierce from Cinnci. Long, fast and good hands. He would be a 3rd rd pick.
I like the way the Rams go for 2nd/3rd guys, instead of gambling on a high 1st rd pick. AB already showed, that he has the guts and knowledge to build us a good team.

Why are we even considering wideouts. SMH.. sign Rhiggins to a long term deal.. baker and him have great chemistry and he is a great receiver in my eyes along with DPJ

DPJ – 34 catches, 597 yards, 3 touchdowns

I would rather see the Browns use 13 on a different position. Like defense of line, for instance. But I definitely won’t lose any sleep if they do choose a receiver.
Offer him a 1 year “prove it” deal. We know he isn’t a number 1 (Gordon, OBJ), we know he’s not a number 2 (Coleman, Landry), we know he’s not a number 3 (Callaway, DPJ)… he has been beaten out by all of those guys, and he’s heading into his 7th season. I think he peaked in 2017, and is ok with that.
SIGN A FREE AGENT WR, and draft one too
The Browns need pass catchers, and since it’s highly unlikely they will retain Landry, it’s essential that they work out a deal or tag Njoku. There is NO excuse for not gettng him atleast 5 targets a game in 2022, and using Bryant more. Release Hooper and use that money to sign Njoku. PLUS… draft Trey McBride as your 3 at TE… he can step in as your starter when Njoku leaves after the tag. I’m 100% opposed to signing ANY WR in this free agent market that isn’t a 1 year “PROVE IT” deal. Offer that Higgins and see if he’s interested… add a Zay Jones, someone who can fill the roster, don’t need a star. In the DRAFT? That’s a different story…
Almost totally agree the only thing I disagree with is Higgins, it’s just time to move on to a fresh start at WR. I think we can sign a cheap vet slot WR and draft atleast 2 WR also sign a blocking TE and draft McBride or Jeremy Ruckert. This will probably surpass the production we got from OBJ, Jarvis and Hooper at a fraction of the cost

We suck offensively because we always take Defense players 1st round and never explosive offensive playmakers….This dude sounds like all the draftniks who wanted the Bengals to take Penni Sewel. I think he was 1 of them. Chase got them to the Superbowl.
Break the bank on Njoku who is basically a 1st rd Berry and Depodesti bust is exactly why they’ll be canned end of season.
