Buffalo not restructuring Diggs contract he just got it at the start of last season. He’s been productive but not enough to think it’s gonna be some instant major change for him he’s on that contract for at least 2 or 3 more a year.

A lot of people are not mentioning that the Bills had multiple 5th and 6th round draft picks. It was basically their 1st and 4th round picks for a 26 year old wide receiver, who is one of the best route runners in football, and is under contract for the next 4 years. He can help their young quarterback take another step forward, seems like a good deal as a Bills fan.

    Not a Bills fan but I think you won this deal IF Diggs plays out his contract. The 1st round pick hurts but the other picks are fluff as you mentioned. If Diggs plays out the contract, he can give you more production relative to salary even than a later 1st round pick.

One thing that’s not being mentioned much is that the Bills had two 5ths and three 6ths this year, so the 5th and 6th in the trade for Diggs were expendable picks for them.
