We have so much depth and playmaking ability at safety it’s ridiculous really. The competition is really going to raise the bar and I won’t be surprised if any of our safeties start over the others. Dixon was looking like the runaway starter before he got hurt last year, now Whitehead is looking like Laron Landry 2.0 and AWJr has the bloodline and elite ball skills. We may start a new coverage with 5 safeties out there 😂
Hopefully Whitehead has a better career than LaRon. I think his upside is higher. Mike Edwards is playing like his life on the line right now.
I’m fine with WJr. at fs and either Edwards or Whitehead at strong safety. What ever the coaches roll with I feel like a lot better about the secondary going into this season.
