Need Bolles to keep improving and step up this year. The season could literally hinge on it.
I am hoping he shows enough improvement that we can trade him & Juwan James in the off season & shed James contract without giving Bolles his 5th year 1st MAJOR $$$ contract that forces us to be stuck with his mediocrity for another 4- 5 yrs waiting on his ‘potential’ he was 25 years old coming into the league with only 1 year of college play… Elway just refuses to accept he bought a lemon… if we can get a 1st RND pick for those two guys [tough to manage especially since a team has to take james $$$ obligations from us] then maybe we ship them to different teams & get a 3rd & 5th in return… that would be really helpful. Having a coach like Munchak & giving him clowns to train instead of legit Pro Bowl capable talent is like giving a master potter tomato soup instead of good clay to make you a pot… total waste of Munchak’s great abilities… maybe we can poach John LeGlue from New Orleans PS if he isn’t on their roster opening day… I had high hopes that the GREEN WAVE was going to swamp opposing pass rushers in a couple of years under Munchaks tutelage
Wow, the comments about Albert O making the roster. Then on the defensive video about Agim being the next NT are just unbelievable. Quite infuriating to see especially in this climate. You guys have to do better with your opportunity and say stuff that makes sense. I know I will never have the opportunity to but I can do a lot better than this. I get it Butt is having a good camp but to think our 4th round pick that Lock practically requested will not make the team is lazy at best. Let’s be honest, unless we keep 5 TEs Butt is trade bait at best. Two pass catching TEs Fant and Albert O. Two run blocking TEs Vannett and (most likely Beck because he can play FB also) everyone else except Butt has the chance to take the 4th TE spot. Butt is a receiving TE and unless Albert O can play the blocking TE role Butt most likely is the odd man out. I don’t see 3 out of 4 TEs on the roster being pass catching TEs (not impossible but unlikely). What is the thinking process that has you saying Albert O may not make the team?
The 280 pound Agim who was drafted for his pass rush ability and needs to get better against the run somehow being the next NT is mind boggling. Not to mention before last season Agim was a 250 pound defensive end in a 4-3 system and gained 30 pounds to play DT. Somehow Agim is the next run stuffing NT to replace a 330 Mike Purcell is a ridiculous statement. What did I just watch?
I don’t think they said Albert O wouldn’t make the team, just that he might be TE 4. If you consider Beck a FB, Fumagalli could be a FB as well.
@Sean Kilfoyle I don’t consider Beck as anything. Beck played FB this camp and last season. Fumagali capabilities is not in question the fact is he did not play FB last year and I am not aware of him playing FB in camp. He has no experience and if they thought he could maybe he would have already. I am not going by my thoughts or belief I am going off of irrefutable facts.
He said Fant as the 1, Vannett as 2, Butt as the 3 and Fumagali as the 4. News flash that leaves out Albert O. Then he also said he would like to see Albert O make the team but he needs to improve. What video did you watch? How does that mean he does not think Albert O will not make the squad when he leaves him as the odd man out exclaiming he needs to improve? Your comprehension is flawed, watch the video again.
