    My problem is the following:
    We have a playoff caliber team (to get into the playoffs),
    we already had last year, so if (!) everything goes more or less right, we could make the playoffs, maybe a close miss;
    and Lock could still disappoint in that scenario, but our draft-position to get a new qb would be worse than this year, and I don’t want to have another season like the last ones,

    When will we have another qb class like this one?
    And when will we get the next chance to draft one of the top prospects?

Why are these guys asking Steve about positions the Broncos don’t even need? “Who is your WR?” Really? Nobody should even be looking at WR’s from the Broncos. Like whaa?

All the people ready to move on from Lock, there are QB’s in every. single. draft. There was with Burrow, Herbert, Tua, etc. last year. All these guys this year. Howell, Rattler, Nix, etc. next year. It really comes down to hype and the type of team that is built around the QB. No QB is going jump right on into the Denver offense and succeed by the first snap. Lack of loyalty and a great showing of impatience is all you people ready to move on have done, you and I both know none of us would ever be able to jump into Drew’s shoes and do what he does. I believe in Drew, and I believe this draft for Denver will be defensive sided. Trade back with New England, get more draft capital and snag Caleb Farley.

If you think about it we should draft christian darrisaw and get either Bridgewater or minshew honestly and just get more depth because lately the injury bug has hit the broncos pretty hard but you know that’s my opinion Drew Lock has the potential but this is his second year with a OC so let’s see how it goes give him one more year

Plain and simple… Defenses win games and Super Bowls… And —- this is coming for someone, who thinks Lock isn’t the right quarterback! Denver should stay at 9th, and pick the best defensive player to supplement what they have on defense — now! The increased defensive talent could be sick —- dispite a mediocre quarterback this year!

I hate being in a world where people aren’t smart. How can we have a guy like aj Johnson rank 4th out of all ilb/mlbs as a rook basically? .. then come back and play at the same level the next season. And josey jewelleries wasn’t MUCH worse than that? Yet “our only weakness is ilb”? No one talking about RT which is ACTUALLY our only weakness? What’s wrong with people. “Draft a qb in the 1st” as if drew is no good? As if he doesn’t have a GENERATIONAL arm? With mobility to add to it? And we have Peyton ready to mentor…. and our answer is “let’s draft someone else these kind of arms come around once every ten years” if Peyton was drafted with Drew’s arm he’d still be in the league TODAY.

    You can’t teach arm strength. Period. You can’t teach 50 yard frozen ropes. There wasn’t a human who could teach Peyton how to throw it more than 30 yards as a bronco. You can teach people to cut up a defense though. Don’t let go of generational bodies/arms. Brady and Brees are both 40+. One has a shot arm and just retired. The other has a rocket still and just won a ring. Switch arms and the results switch also

None of the Qb’s in this draft available after #2 are nfl ready. Why would you give up on a project QB close to being great to get another project guy? Specially when we actually need players at some positions…

I say stick with Lock, we owe it to him as a team and as a fanbase, there will be veterans to be had later in the off-season to compete. Focus on CB, SS, RT, HB, ILB and RLB.

When you look at everything that’s gone on with the Broncos over the last 2 seasons…Locks injuries, Covid, O-line issues, injuries to CBs and key guys like Chubb, Sutton, & Von, the last second losses, and also Shurmurs offense….it’s not a stretch to feel this team could be very good with Lock. He can be the guy.

The first 2 QBs in the draft are NFL ready. To me, the other 3 are projects. Like Lock was 2 years ago. Lance or Fields could be Mahomes. Or they could be Paxton Lynch. Or they could be Lock. The odds we’re right here, same situation in 2023 or 2024, if we take Lance or Fields is pretty probable in my opinion. Take Parsons or trade back a few and take one of the 3 corners depending on what the trade is. Hit O & D lineman along with RB early. Good to go.
