I’d like to see Rypien get the backup job. Brandon Johnson has shown enough to get Tim’s spot this season, in my opinion. I’d also like to see Montrell Washington line up in the slot some this year. He’s fast enough to burn most secondaries.

    @sui87generis, I mean, I don’t think it’s stupid to keep both, but I’m not the Broncos brass 😂

    I think Rypien could develop into a monster, given the right system and time to develop. He throws some pretty passes. Every time I hear his name, I always think of the pass where Jerry Jeudy Moss’d that Jets DB for a touchdown. It was a sight to behold.

    @TheEnigmaticOpaque not necessarily… Jeudy is fantastic option at flanker (aka Z), they don’t NEED 2 big bodies on the outside 💁🏿‍♂️ that said BJ is a good replacement for Tims production/value(physical, sure hands, detail oriented)

I feel Rypien will earn the backup job on Saturday. The only problem is he now has to face the first- or second-string players while Johnson faces the second- or third-string players. I wonder why Johnson has had to move on from all his previous teams.

I like Johnson, but Virgil is a good receiver, and can be used special teams as a returner. That backs up Washington if needed!!
