Browns went to 10 straight championships with that logo in the 40s and 50s. might have still had it for Jim browns chip in the 60s. It was kind of put away after that and things haven’t gone so well…

It ended because of Art Modell. One of the first things he did when he bought the team in 1961 was got rid of the logo.
@Bruce Sharp agree. They just ignore the 10 trips and 7 titles by the browns. Who arguably made the nfl what it is in th 50s that allowed them to create the super bowl era.

I heard Modell hated the elf, which makes me love it more. When I was a kid, longer ago than I like to admit, it was on all the Browns football cards. Now, let’s go back to the all-white unis at home, which they did for all their years of greatness, and scrap the brown or orange pants!

@Bourne Yesterday Okay, I will concede they were used for a few years before, thank God, they went back to the classic, Paul Brown inspired look (he wanted the Browns to be the “Yankees” of football). I don’t have a problem if they wore the orange pants once in a while, but let’s keep our classic look. Tradition works for the Yankees, Dodgers, Alabama, USC. Don’t be “faddish”. Hate the current dark, monochromatic trend. The Saints used to have a great uni when they wore their gold pants. But the black “leotard” look is hideous!
at some point we need the dawg logo in the endzones! it would look really good!

Tyrone, I love dogs. You can tell by my thumbnail but a dog is common & practical. Brownie is historical & traditional. It’s different. No one else is gonna have an elf. 😉 They really are mischievous, mystical, unpredictable little sneaky gonna get you when you least expect it characters. Who would think an elf is gonna kick someones a$$ but this one will. I’d love to see Chompz’s face all over the Dawg Pound.

Old school Brownie was definitely my choice. It’s historic & traditional. For me, the team & organization seem to be heading into a different kind of era reflecting back to the early Brown’s days. Why am I thinking this is gonna be Kardiac Kids 2.0. My heart can’t take it Elizabeth. That’s Sanford & Son for you youngins. Another thing, people don’t think elves are tough but they are.
