Watching his game tape his field awareness jumps off the screen. He’s going to be A Okay at the next level. I think it’s much riskier for Trevor who doesn’t have that natural field awareness. And now that he’ll finally be playing with men his own size and speed as an average, is when we’ll see who Lawrence is made of.

    Wilson might eventually become a good QB, but right now he just potential and nothing more.

    He will. Simms recognizes that Lawrence is great, but Wilson is accurate and a leader at 22. You don’t need a 6’6″ huge arm to win. Wilson is almost Mahomes’ size and potentially P. Manning’s brain.

Brilliant point, mike. That is exactly why urban Meyer didn’t go to byu pro day. Didn’t want to create doubt with having to draft lawrence. That and he coached at Utah for two years, BYU’s rival. He beat them both times so he’s not welcome on BYU’s campus. Ha, only joking. He’s welcome. He’s good friends with bronco mendenhall, byu’s former head coach.

I dont think a single GM/Coach would have the balls to pick Wilson #1 if they liked him a bit more than Lawrence. Because if you do, and Lawrence ends up being better, everyone will call you an idiot and you’ll be fired. If you pick Lawrence and he ends up worse than Wilson, no one can really blame you

Maybe the most impressive thing about Zach’s pro day: How relaxed he looked. Juxtapose that to Mac Jones who looked as nervous as a college freshman during finals. But Zach missed very few throws and was on the money on most, even high-difficulty throws. I still think Trevor goes one but after watching Zach it’s now closer to me. I think both guys will be awesome pros but take your pick. (Thus QB class reminds me of I believe 1984 when Elway, Marino and Kelly were drafted. I think they’re all in the HOF and they should be. But this draft has Trey as well and he’s my dark horse as I think he’ll be a dynamo on the field.)

Jacksonville would take Wilson but for two reasons, they boxed themselves in Weeks ago and urban Meyer coached at Utah. They will forever regret not taking him.
