It’s kind of wild that Minshew is a backup with all the crappy starters around the league. I think he showed enough to get another shot somewhere. Whatever. I’m glad to have him as a top shelf backup.
@Element Zero remember when Foles had a TD to INT ratio of 27-2? Or tied the record for most TDs in a game with 7. Or when he tied the most consecutive completions in a row? And he is still a lifetime back up for the most part. It js hard to shake labels…even though Daniel Jones has a job and I’d rather have Foles or Minshew over him.
(Biggest knock on Foles is he can’t get through a full season healthy.
@William Blackfyre The knocks on Foles always had some merit. That 2013 season was impressive, but he did seem to struggle badly outside of Philly.
I’m surprised Minshew didn’t get any looks after Jacksonville. I guess part of it is timing. Whatever the case, I’m glad to have him. I have a lot of confidence in him as the backup, same as I always had with Nick.
Cowboys only weak spot= Dak
The reality of this game now is this:
If Philly loses, “Oh, well. We didn’t have Jalen, and we didn’t even need this to get the regular season under wraps.”
If Dallas loses, “🤣🤣🤣. The sky is falling! Is the Cowboys season basically over? Etc…” All of the usual, amplified, overly dramatic headlines around these guys.

With or without hurts eagles gonna win, the cowboys secondary is banged tf up, Smitty and goedert are gonna bully those poor guys. Also don’t underestimate minshew he has great stats despite playing with a weapon less jags team, he’ll look much better with all this talent around him on offense and the second best defense in the league doing their job. Let’s not forget the eagles have a tremendous secondary and dak and his receivers have been turnover machines lately don’t be surprised if dak throws 3 interceptions in this game
