On this edition of "Broncos Weekend," Steve Atwater, Orlando Franklin and Alexis Perry discuss the uphill battle Billy Turner and Randy Gregory might have to climb over the next month after being activated off the PUP list. Holy crap, Steve and Orlando together is fantastic. They both give a unique perspective backed by years of their own experience. They spread knowledge, and in turn make us a better fanbase, through that knowledge.

Great great show!!

That’s why I said, yes, starters should play at least one quarter. We cannot afford to give away time in regular season trying to acclimate to the physicality of live ball.

Charles Townsend

Yes but Johnson got more time and veteran players. He did play well.
Rypien could have played better. I need to see Brett get engaged in the game more. I know he can. He did not show up on his drives against the Cowboy. That is something Brett cannot afford to do.

Orlando Franklin did a fine job as an analyst. He had some good points. But there will be no head hunting. Those days are over. Play smart.

Seeing Orlando Franklin was instant excitement always loved him as a player. 8 minutes in to the show and I realize having Steve and Orlando is tge best two analysts we could hope for as Broncos fans, honest frank and insightful commentary that was refreshing and exactly what I want to hear as a sports fan.

The fact that the performance by Brett Rypien has been completely ignored is typical. The truth is Brett Rypien came in after the defense had time to adjust and still had command the offence. His accuracy was very good. Let’s stop inflating ones performance and ignoring others. It doesn’t do anything except expose the fact that football performance is not the main focus of the analysts and pundits. Brett Rypien is obviously someone the Denver Broncos does not want to lose or he would have been gone 3 years ago. It reminds me of how the past Bronco staff and media constantly criticized Drew Lock. It wasn’t Drew Lock who implemented an an anemic and safe offense, it was Marty Schottenheimer’s who implemented that offence and called plays that are designed for the QB to check down 99% of the time. The past coaching staff refused to help their offence by designing an offense around the arm and aggressiveness of Drew Lock. It’s obvious Nathaniel Hacket is a coach! The first thing Hacket did was work with and design the offense around the strengths of Russel Wilson and his players. The difference between a coach and a play caller is a coach tailors his offense for their players strengths maximizing the teams performance. A play caller has a play book that has 500 plays that were designed 20 years ago and have never been adjusted. It’s even worse when you realize that the 500 plays in that book have never been successful. How many analysts and pundits actually claimed Marty Schottenheimer was an offensive geniusvwhile simultaneously criticizing Lock?
