What lawsuit against Dalvin Cook means for his NFL status | Pro Football Talk | NBC Sports

Larry Litmanen

So she beat a professional athlete?

    Mark Kramm

She maced him. Dalvin, by all appearances, is a stand up guy. The woman used to date Dalvin, stole his garage opener and assaulted guests of Dalvin’s in his house.

    Gareth Johnson

Well given she is in the armed forces, i’d say it’s a definite possibility she could. They are trained to fight, with weapons, in hand to hand combat. He’s trained to run fast and catch a ball. Not saying who beat who as i don’t know what happened, i wasn’t there. But just because someone is a professional athlete shouldn’t mean they cannot be a victim of abuse.

    Nicholas

Dude. She sprayed him with mace. Yeah she beat him up, and he retaliated like any normal person.

    KDXVII

she’s an armed forces member trained to fight and use tactics like macing.

mike hanzal

God forbid he misses some games. Dude is always injured

    tip phimmachack

Idk he’s a great explosive player, but i feel like the when’s he’s not playing, the play calling opens up more. Its not his fault though, Zimmer just so predictable and dedicated to the Run, Run, Run with Cook playing. So much talent on the offense just to be conservative and predictable.

    mike hanzal

@tip phimmachack great take buddy. Totally agree. That much money in your qb, let him sling it around a bit.

Ryan Garr

The video seems like it supports what he says but it’s only like 30 seconds so idk

    Courtney Sutherlin

    So,

The Dough

Idk about this if those are the real texts dude is guilty

Nyk NyCE

Are we using two sides of the story now? If it were the other way around we’d just run with it. Omg that’s annoying.

    Space Ghost

Your comment makes no sense or point. Try again. Next time learn how to spell “two”.

    Ricky Couture

The irony! Maybe try staying around until the end of the video on this one. There’s something in it just for you.

    Nyk NyCE

    @Space Ghost how?

Steve G

Wait I thought being unvaccinated was the worst crime…..in the NFL

    Piteus X

WTF are you talking about? No one gives a crap if a player is unvaccinated. Is Kirk, Lamar, or Carson getting killed for being unvaccinated? People are ripping Rodgers for his holier than thou / smartest person in the room crap / insincerity.

Space Ghost

YAWN

Ricky Couture

This is where Florio is at his best, IMO. He might not always have the sharpest intuition when it comes to player/personnel decisions, but he has one of the sharpest minds when it comes to discernment and the ability to organize complex (or messy) football matters quickly *and* thoroughly. No disrespect to Peter King, but it takes him ten times as long just to get half as much covered. That probably works in a setting where you’re just listening to players and coaches, taking notes and writing longform pieces for a magazine, but when it comes to updating a mass amount of people on stories that might break at 7 PM on a Wednesday night, nobody is better than Florio. I also have a great deal of respect for his journalistic integrity. I don’t always think he’s the most transparent individual, but he absolutely understands the importance of getting it right — and more so the consequences of getting it wrong. Something that’s becoming rarer and rare (as a principle) by the day.

    Piteus X

Yeah … he knows his stuff about the law and pretty fair when it comes to judgement.

Vikings Anonymous

Extremely suspicious of criminal matters that are only brought up in civil court for a settlement. Regardless of who is the victim and what the matter is.

    Piteus X

Doesn’t mean it’s not true. Dalvin supposedly has a witness to corroborate his story. The media / public should stay out of it until more to the story comes out.

    Vikings Anonymous

    @Piteus X 💯

    Chvncey

Right makes it seem like getting paid out is more important than justice

Dorian Edwards

I’m sorry, there are not two sides to someone sneaking into your house, uninvited, and doing WHATEVER. I don’t care if she went there to give him flowers or to murder him. She DID NOT LIVE THERE ANY MORE! That has already been stipulated. SHE DID NOT LIVE THERE. If she lived there then maybe there would be two sides. But she DID NOT LIVE THERE. That makes her a burglar. Period. There are not two sides to a burglary. There is a crime committed. Now that the authorities are aware of the crime, even if Cook does not press charges, they have the ability to pick up the charges if they choose.

Dorian Edwards

Cook’s first mistake was not calling the police and reporting a burglary. I think he either did not want to ruin her career or he did not want the publicity of the arrest and all the attendant garbage that would have gone along with it.

    Courtney Sutherlin

He should have, fight fire with fire

Adrian

This league is like a weekly soap opera. It doesn’t take long for a Richard Sherman meltdown, or the Jon Gruden saga to fade into the vault of yesterday’s drama…
“As the NFL World Turns”🌍 🏈. . .

    Work4WhatYouWant

To be fair the Richard Sherman situation was more blown up than it should’ve been and isn’t comparable to this.

crispy

If the woman is trying to cause injury to Cook you’ve helped her cause as people will have started taking sides in the NFL fan and player base. Can’t you just report the fact civil litigation is occurring that won’t affect Cook’s availability without doing the he said, she said and who’s trying to get out in front analysis. The players are already targets without you helping to sow doubt and shade.

michael dailey

PFT is a class act , thanks Mike !!!!

Cza Beats

Those texts make him seem guilty af. Tbh.

Bill M

Youtube no longer showing thumb downs, just another way to silence anyone who disagrees with the main stream agenda.

J.Q. Vault

One thing is Crystal Clear Floriio. The fact the incident took place almost a year ago and is only now coming out to the public because of litigation should “jump out at you’ that Cook’s side of the story as more validity!

Randy Wilson

As someone who has Alexander Mattison on their fantasy team, I believe the woman.

Mech

Cook innocent

raiders nation

Did he get the jab? He did ok, back in the league
