Lmao getting outcoached by a guy who’s never coached a game before in his life was the perfect time to get rid of McDaniels, and they just showed last year that they can win with anybody at HC like Bisaccia
First, they were a very lucky playoff team. They were worse than their record and got lucky that the Chargers screwed around in their final game. As for this year, the offense, led by McDaniels, is actually top ten in terms of points and yards per drive. The defense, however, is bottom 3 in both of those categories and has the fewest total takeaways and sacks in the league. I really don’t think it’s McDaniels. The drafting by Gruden and Mayock has killed the defense.

Saying they were a lucky playoff team seems a little off being that they lost to the AFC champs by 1 score (especially with that early whistle on the Boyd TD) so it seems like you’re just trying to be a contrarian here.
Also weird how you omit the fact that Rock Ya Sin and Chandler Jones were moves made in the McDaniels era that decimated the defense. You know that McDaniels is the Head Coach right? Not just the OC

Short answer: Josh McDaniels.
Long answer: Josh McDaniels, an owner who looks at this team and believes the coach is competent, and some questionable draft picks not working out over the last few years.
The problem I’m having with josh is not with his system and trying to implement it. My problem with him is why are we so bad? Why does my team look so uninspired to play football anymore? Why are guys so frustrated to the point where they’re doing uncharacteristic things? Why do we keep losing in the fashion we’re losing in? Why can’t we score a point against bad teams? Why is are locker room divided and you haven’t stepped in to do anything about it yet? Why do you never step up and take ownership of you and your coaching staffs mistakes and instead always give the same bs copy and paste answers to every tough question? That’s my problem with that dude. Not implementing a system. A fact that you’re team is falling apart right in front of you and it doesn’t look like you’re trying to piece it back together.
McDaniels must have been listening to coach Nagy of Chicago. Nagy was all about his
system and never developed Mitch Trubisky as he should have done.
Nagy was a terrible head coach, but he knew plays. He knew schemes. He was just not a head coach.
I give Coach Jeff Saturday a big plus. He played offensive line, a center. He went through
the plays with quarterback and blocking schemes every week for 14 years. He knows
football from the trenches, what did Josh do???? He was a coach with Bellick.
I wish Jeff all the success. Same with the head coach with TITANS.
@PD Gutierrez agreed,I’m not denying that josh doesn’t know his stuff. He’s a great OC,he just doesn’t seem to be great coaching material. A lot of guys that come from the Belichick patriot branch aren’t though,they always find themselves going back.

Del Rio sucked. Ken Norton Jr. was retained and Trestman was let go after 2016.
Del Rio was the right HC for this team, when they let him go it was over, they got in win now mode.
Good coaches get the best out of their players. Not trying to make players fit into their system. The new coaches & regime took a playoff team that was less talented & turned it into the worst team in the league
28th in points on defense, 32nd in getting TO’s, 32nd in redzone defense. Last in sacks. What winning team in the NFL has a defense like that? Last year the defense could at least hit the QB. This week old Ryan was hit one time. And then ran around the end on 3rd and 3 and then went 39 yards down the sideline, wut.
Defenses also carried McDaniels. More chances for him to call deep shots on 3rd and short.
Its obviously Carrs fault. He hits receivers in the hands and he needs to play better defense.

Raiders can not afford to release McDamiel, too expensive after Grueden.
The fact that the raiders went to a the playoffs with a completely different coach and Scheme has nothing to do with this year. It’s not that they are losing it’s how they are losing. This team is pathetic and like Carr said everyone on the team is not bought in
One of the things to note is that they released their first round pick offensive lineman (Leatherwood) and a corner who they needed to start (Mullen) before the year. I think those things did more harm than good because both of those areas of the team have underperformed. From a coaching aspect I think the team started to become one sided and other players weren’t getting involved. I must admit, it has been shocking to see them blow big leads not only in games that make a statement but in games where the QB is playing well.
@Christian J. Zamora That’s right I remember that being reported, that’s a good point. He definitely reached on the players he drafted. There’s going to be so much attention surrounding the draft now because so many players flamed out.

@Kenneth McLitus it doesn’t matter NEITHER are playing for their new teams. Mullen can’t stay healthy, never could. Leatherwood could be replaced by any offensive lineman in football. He isn’t even playing for the Bears. Gruden screwed them for a decade with his horrible draft picks early
Well the HC has a 30% winning record . Speaks for itself . This team went thru crazy adversity last year — still went to the playoffs with the current QB.
I have been a Raiders fan for almost 40 years and I think the last 20 yrs has destroyed my mental health. Watching them shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly is the only thing they have done consistently for decades. At this point I have to believe that Marc Davis must be betting against his own team because that level of stupidity just doesn’t seem possible. Then again he sports the worst haircut in the world and refuses to give up on his stylist (I could do better if I just threw scissors at him while walking by 😉
