Bucky brooks is so smooth

Love that Bucky is getting the platform and recognition he deserves. Big fan.

Bucky Brooks is so dang good. We’re very lucky to have him.

One thing about Lloyd though, he lined up at off-ball linebacker 596 snaps in 2021 at Utah, and only 113 on the edge. That reflects the same balance of alignment across his three years with the Utes, so the idea that he was primarily, or even heavily, aligned on the edge is simply incorrect. He was a read-and-react player in college who spent more time in coverage than rushing the passer (280 cov snaps to 145 pass rush snaps, many of which came on the blitz). There’s no doubt that he has pass rush tools, but the idea that he is somehow out of position is incorrect. He played well in this role to begin the year, and I think he will get back to that level once he’s had some time to settle down. Remember, he missed all of training camp, that’s significant, and he’s playing the most mentally demanding role on defense. He will be fine…and to be clear, Muma has been steadier with his responsibilities, but he hasn’t done anything like what Devin was doing the first 5 or so games.

Bucky works hard at his craft and is damn near everywhere tv/podcast, he deserves his flowers. Plus he is a former Jag!!!
