Week 11 Fantasy Football Rankings: Highlighting Top Starts at Key Positions

Fantasy football comes down to luck, although some owners always seem to have a bit more than others.

These “gurus”—as they have come to be known—are adept at making their own luck and seem to always win their league championships, because they make smart decisions during the draft, in trades and on the waiver wire.

Obviously, having a handful of the top players at each position will also help, which is something I will highlight in Week 11.

If you have any of these players listed below, make sure you give him a start, as they’re all poised to put up huge numbers and dominate the competition.

Week 11’s Top Quarterback: Nick Foles

Projected Quarterback Rankings – Week 11
1 Nick Foles PHI WAS
2 Drew Brees NO SF
3 Peyton Manning DEN KC
4 Russell Wilson SEA MIN
5 Robert Griffin III WAS @PHI

Top Quarterbacks

Nick Foles is looking to continue his elite streak in Week 11. The Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback has connected on 16 touchdowns without an interception this season.

The Washington Redskins shouldn’t provide much resistance to this emerging star, as they concede over 274.8 yards per game to opposing passers. The secondary is an absolute mess, a ripe situation that Foles should take advantage of.

If you were smart enough to scoop this Arizona product on the waiver wire, make sure you plug him in as an automatic starter this coming Sunday.

Week 11’s Top Running Back: Marshawn Lynch

Projected Running Back Rankings – Week 11
1 Marshawn Lynch SEA MIN
2 Jamaal Charles KC @DEN
3 LeSean McCoy PHI WAS
4 Frank Gore SF @NO
5 Adrian Peterson MIN @SEA

Top Running Backs

Marshawn Lynch is poised to go Beast Mode on the Minnesota Vikings. The superstar running back is coming off a 145-yard performance against the Atlanta Falcons and will be looking to eclipse that lofty number in Week 11.

The Vikings will have a tough time stopping anyone in Seattle, as this club has yet to win a game on the road and is vulnerable to both the rush and pass, giving up an average of almost 400 yards per game to the opposition.

Lynch is locked in as the top running back this week before his much-needed bye in Week 12. Expect him to come out rested and rejuvenated, putting fantasy teams on his back in the playoffs.

Week 11’s Top Wide Receiver: Andre Johnson

Projected Wide Receiver Rankings – Week 11
1 Andre Johnson HOU OAK
2 Calvin Johnson DET @PIT
3 Brandon Marshall CHI BAL
4 A.J. Green CIN CLE
5 Vincent Jackson TB ATL

Top Wide Receivers

Andre Johnson may be 32 years old, and his team has been suffering through a down season, but that won’t stop the veteran wideout from dominating a tissue-soft Oakland Raiders secondary on Sunday.

Johnson has been putting up some monster stat lines lately, scoring two touchdowns on five receptions against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10, preceded by an insane nine-catch, 229-yard, three-touchdown outing against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9.

With the Raiders giving up 247.0 yards per game to opposing passers and recently allowing Nick Foles to dice them up for 406 yards and seven touchdowns, it is possible that Johnson has his finest performance of the season in Week 11.

Week 11’s Top Tight End: Rob Gronkowski

Projected Tight End Rankings – Week 11
1 Rob Gronkowski NE @CAR
2 Jordan Reed WAS @PHI
3 Jimmy Graham NO SF
4 Vernon Davis SF @NO
5 Antonio Gates SD @MIA

Rob Gronkowski is coming off his bye week and should be close to 100 percent healthy and effective, something that should absolutely worry fans of the Carolina Panthers.

Carolina has given up the fourth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends over the past five weeks, although the defense overall has been solid.

Expect New England head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady to attempt to exploit this weakness by targeting the elite tight end repeatedly during this Monday Night Football showdown.

Gronk should respond with a big game, easily eclipsing the century mark in yards and possibly adding a score or two.
