RIP Len Dawson, I have many great memories of you playing when I was I kid. We in the Kingdom will miss you sir.

Born near Chargers SD area, then grew up in a Raiders household, in Cowboys territory, and currently living in Donkey country. Became a Chiefs fan at 8 years old, haven’t waivered for over 3 decades and counting. Watching Lenny Cool on Inside the NFL every week was a highlight of my childhood. Loved reading and watching stories of Dawson and Otis Taylor, the AFL, the merger, and everything Len Dawson and the Chiefs have done to influence the current format and overall history of the NFL. Len Dawson inspired Chiefs fans for 6 decades while alive, and will continue to inspire Chiefs fans for decades to come. RIP to the Chiefs Kingdom Legend #16.

I am not old enough to remember Len Dawson playing, but I remember him from his time on Inside the NFL. He epitomized class and I know that carried over from his time as a Chief. Because of him, I always had respect for the Kansas City Chief’s organization even when I was not a fan and the Chief’s were not doing well. It made it easy to become a Chief’s fan when I moved here 6 years ago. RIP Len Dawson, you are one of the NFL’s greats and a legend in KC.
