I look forward to seeing 2020 highlights of Brady. Never thought I’d see him play on my hometown team.
For all those that say Brady had a down year, they’re right. But he didn’t have any weapons at all. He was second behind Mahomes in completion percentage for throws beyond 20 yards. Can’t wait for 2020. Let’s go!!!
@eddie Dahlgren Edelman was the 27th most double covered receiver in the NFL per route run per PFF. So all year is an overstatement.
@bowlchamps37 with 32 teams, this means that Edelman was the player on the patriots that teams double covered all year! He was toms only viable option so teams took just took him away!as for separation Out of 144 receivers with 100 plays in the nfl last year no patriots player was in the top 100! most between 130 and 144! even Edelman was like 117 so with 32 teams this means like every team had 3 receivers more open than any patriots receivers!
@bowlchamps37 With multiple options to throw to in tb, double coverage wont matter, nothing will matter. Tom will rip apart defenses and will have one of his best seasons ever!
@eddie Dahlgren All year is still an overstatement cause he was double covered on less than 8% of his routes. The 20th WR in that category was double covered 33% of the time. Double covered about 3 times a game. Which is pretty low.
@bowlchamps37 I watched every game and his comer back had safety help every play. They knew if they took him away they shut down the offence. I’m done , after the season you will see. tom was the system and the patriots will be lucky to be .500

Tom Brady was very average last year, the only reason the Pats were good is because of their defense.

Christopher Law that my friend is a true story!! I’m so glad Tom has gone to a good team! Belechick has been trying to get rid of Tom for some time now! Tough thing to do to a guy who brought you to 9 super bowls winning 6 of them, 17 division titles and so many more accomplishments. We are happy to follow Tom to the Bucs!

Edelman was double covered all year and no one else got any separation! if a receiver is open TB12 will hit him. Any other qb would have been lucky to have 8 wins and less than 20 int’s with the pats offense last year. Toms never had the number of weapons that TB has. He will pick teams apart. We might see history

biggest takeaway from this is that Tom still has arm strength.. Zip, velocity is all there. Footwork is there. Yes he gets flustered under pressure but it looks like he still has it.

With these passes, notice that his receivers don’t hardly get any separation and Brady has to thread needles with that football. Now think about Evans, and Godwin who can actually lose the coverage and get ” WIDE OPEN” .. Brady is gonna have fun with these guys. And his long ball looks AMAZING. I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS YEAR.. WOW!!! I STILL FEEL LIKE I’M DREAMING.. GO BUCS..
Just the number of beautiful passes he dropped in the WRs bread baskets along the sidelines in the first few minutes were as many as Jameis had in last 5 years. I don’t think people realize how many 50/50 balls Evans won the first 4 years.
Winston was a bit better last year , it took blowing out everyone’s hamstrings in practice to do it but it was slightly better than prior years. I think watching this you see the zip on his passes , especially early in the year. The nice weather will do wonders .
As sad as it may seem , even when running he doesn’t look like his legs are clunking and going to hurt himself like Jameis seemed to.
Bucs were 9th in pass blocking DVOA. Brady´s O-Line was ranked 9th in pass blocking DVOA three times in his career with Pats. All three time, they ended up winning the SB.
He went from no weapons to multiple weapons. He’s going to put the league on notice.
