Secondary wouldn’t be quite as horrible if there was a more consistent pass rush. But absolutely, this is an excellent pick to add for a player who can play both deep, and has some technician ability to play nickel with his man coverage skills. For a secondary that was 5 worst of all time, this is something that was much needed

Well no offense to him but we have a university 60 miles north of us that the Falcons refused to take any players from and there’s no way in hell you’re going to tell me that he was better than Richard lecounte the Third he just wasn’t Richard lecounte the third is a ball-hawking safety and a thumper as a safety he was the best safety in all of college football bar none! UCF is not on the same planet is the University of Georgia! It’s like the Falcons sold their soul never to draft a player from the University of Georgia!

For those who may not understand this pick. Dean Pees prefer a safety who can: Cover 1-1, and play deep. And who can stop the run and blitz being versatile in his defense.

@Ian Chorne True, I was referring more to offensive weapons/playmakers. The line has been suspect for a while, definitely needs to be addressed. We need to add more defensive playmakers and Stout DL/DE.

As an alumnus of UCF and saw every game Grant played in, I promise you Falcons fans, this dude is legit. He will be better than most of you are thinking. During the season I’m willing to bet most of you will be saying, “Thank God we took him instead of those other guys”. I was mad my team didn’t get a chance for him but oh well. He’s your starting safety day 1 and he will be good.
