It’s just stupid to give up on a first round draft pick so soon. Quarterbacks take time to develop, some more than others. Plenty of quarterbacks who went on to be very good to great didn’t get that way playing for the team who drafted them. Anyone remember Brett Favre?

There also a lot of reason as to why but it doesn’t change the fact as of now most Elite/good QB in the NFL came from college outside of the top school.

lets say there are 8 elite schools
thats leaves 122 non elite school. Percentage wise, there are far more NFL QB Starters from these 8 schools than there are from the non elite ones.
