@xlr8r2010 Typically, the Commanders has this thing of losing to a seemingly beatable team or they make what should be an easy victory a hard fought win. Though the Texans always tend to be the exception.

WAS has won 2 in a row and are 6-5. Next 2 games are against ATL and NYG. It’s a high percentage that they can be 8-5 going into their bye week. This division is really going to be interesting. Congrats on the win WAS πͺ.

@Brian Whiting An incredible factor. The 3 and outs have been less frequent with TH and the RBs sustaining longer drives. The DL looks strong till the final seconds. TH could benefit from checking down a bit more to AG, saw some missed easy yards just from TH not looking a little bit more to his left or right. He keeps his eyes downfield, which is great, but he’ll miss easy 7-10 yards from not checking down more often. And more Dual Back sets, AG motioning to receiver on the outside or in the slot would be great to see.
@SuperSaiyanSeanTaylor21 I don’t know about that, but I’d like to think so. They started off pretty bad. 2 3 and outs followed by a couple 1st downs but then a punt. It wasn’t until they had a 7-0 lead that they started to move. It’s no coincidence that when the offense clicks, the defense plays better. They aren’t constantly on the field and worn out. The days of two backs in the backfield are pretty much ancient history. The last true fullback I can remember is Johnston with the Cowboys. Also checking down is exactly that. It’s usually there for potential long passes that are covered to the point that offense line breaks down. In any case I’ll be happy to just keep on winning. I don’t think there’s ever been a 12 win team that had a 4 game losing streak, but the way they are going, I could see them doing it.
wow , gotta hand it to Washington, 2 in a row and now 6-5 ?? next two games against the falcons and my giants, NFC East looking pretty intriguing as we go to the final 2 weeks of NFL this month, congrats Washington and Taylor Heinicke .
Would be wild if the division can have everyone make the playoffs. The way the rest of the NFC looks it’s definitely possible

Considering the last time we were in the playoffs it was as a sub 500 division winner. The entire NFC East deserves kudos.

@Yourgirllovesmangos they went to a playoffs under heineke in 2021 challenging the bucs the year they won SB taylor went off that game over 300 and almost pulled off an upset against brady in a playoff game 31-23β¦. brady showed him utmost respect afterwards he had them nervous on their toes all game

@Anthony Mayes these people rather win close games towards garbage teams than being a legit playoff team. This team with heinicke is nowhere close to beat the Chiefs or even chargers at that . because on those games you actually have to score 7 points to win the game. Not try for 10 field goals

The score could’ve been much much worse, washington struggled in the redzone but were dominant on all sides of the football, very good win for the commanders.

Washington Dominating the Texans is precisely what we needed after beating the Eagles. An excellent all-around game on defense and offense against a team that we could not afford to lose to.
@Billy Scott offense did just enough. I think they would have gotten to 30 on that last drive but it would have been running up the score. When your up 20 points in the second half your one objective is to take the clock down. I’ve got no gripes about the play calling.

@Valle you’re never going to have every play work. Remember there are 11 top level athletes working hard to have you fail every play. In order to win you must have contributions from both sides of the ball.
@Brian Whiting yeah I agree with you man, I see a lot of people saying our offense didnβt do great but I donβt necessarily agree. I think we did fine running and passing ball and we didnβt have to force ourselves to score later in the game so we didnβt push ourselves to much. And like you said if we had wanted to Gibson clearly had a free td late in the game that would have put us up to 30. Sure you could look at it like the offense was not great but I think the offense knew that the defense wasnβt going to let the Texans score so they just didnβt try to push for a touchdown every drive instead settling for field goals.
The only thing is see is our Redzone offense needs to get better. D played solid but we left a lot of points on the field. And Heineke is the man!!!

McLaurin has become a true beast. Good to finally see a redskins wide receiver pick pan out to what he can be instead of all the ones that only ever showed glimpses.
Great team win, I saw lots of WAS fans in the stadium, that’s awesome. My only concern are the multiple field goals we kick inside the red zone. If we can turn some of those into TDs we’ll be in business.

If the Commanders can hold service against the Falcons next week, the back-to-backs against the Giants are going to be HUGE.
