Has Scott Turner done anything to justify still having a job as an offensive coordinator? Skating by on his last name has run its course.
Never believed in Turner. He calling plays on trail and error for two years , you know what let coaches fail this season. Get a legit coaches next season

If this the Way Washington going to play football this season I don’t see them winning no more than 7 games if that’s case No more Rivera and Turner next season , To much hype to a team that hasn’t improved a bit on both sides of the ball,
I see another six or seven win team. Three years in a row. Eight max.

I think we over reached for Wentz. I really don’t know if he is going to be the dramatic upgrade we think over Henicke and Howell. Not for 28 million a year. I predict by half season. Henicke will be in. Howell will close the season when all is said and done. I hope I’m wrong. Because if so, Wentz excelled.
I don’t think Howell is ready yet, he stares down his receivers, any decent DB is going to pick him off pretty handily. He has great traits but he needs more time, I would not trust him in big games in general until he clears that hurdle, as well as batted passes and sack awareness. He’s just looking green still. I do see Heinicke starting at some point but I doubt he’ll perform poorly with this easy schedule, and better pieces around him – he beat Tampa last year. Howell isn’t beating TB anytime soon, he was struggling against our starting defense and they need a LOT of work still…other teams aren’t going to play as nicely. Howell is 3rd string and that’s not changing this season unless Wentz is out so he’ll get upgraded to backup. I see Howell being a solid backup/starter eventually but he’s just not ready, putting in rookies early is how you spoil careers. The only way I see Howell going in is if covid hits the team again.
Truthfully this team will be better hitching their wagon to Howell. Have Taylor as a back up. Ain’t gonna do it. By the end of the year they could really start coming together as a team. And could be exponitally better going into next year. The real problem is that Ron and Martin are on the hot seat and thus panicked in grabbing Wentz. They know this could be their last year.
SORRY TO BUST EVERYONE’S BUBBLE BUT…
I’ve already seen enough that I’m pretty sure I can predict what WILL happen this season.
First, the offense is going to struggle to score TDs & put up long drives & will have to settle for mid to long FG attempts, mainly do to the inconsistent play from Wentz, plus his & Gibson’s turnover- itis will stall this offense.
And second, the defense, mainly the front 7 again can’t seem to get to the QB, who will buy extra time & find receivers downfield & extend drives on 3rd & long, game after game.
Finally, I say we finish with a record of 7-10.
(Also we need to get rid of or replace, William Jackson, Dyami Brown, Wentz & Gibson if he keeps fumbling)

We need a alpha running back so bad somebody to draw away from the outside wr boys and the qb.

It’s sad when there’s only 2 top plays from our starting O/D
with the talent on this defense, it’s SUPER OBVIOUS that the culprit is the coaching staff. Just 2 seasons ago this team was a top 3 defense and has only upgraded all across the board yet continue to decline in performance. I know it’s just preseason, but this defense looks identical to last season…maybe even worse. Then again it’s Patrick Mahomes, so maybe I’m overreacting but the amount of separation KC was getting was unacceptable. For the sake of the last few loyal fans this organization has, please do better. We’ve lost probably half of our fan base to Bmore in the past decade and I don’t blame them. That organization knows how to win and create real culture.

Wentz is fine. The issue is not the offense. I expect them to be vanilla right now. I am worried about the Defense especially on 3rd down. That has to be fixed
