@JB Hood we were first place last year and everyone was saying the same thing, Huntley started and played decent games but we didn’t win a single game after. We got lucky against a broncos team that can’t score, if we play an average team that can move the ball we are cooked plain and simple

@Justin Bellamy  not 2 mention garbaugh calling that timeout and leaving 30 sec on the clock when the defense can’t stop anything n the clutch. 1 more play or just a few more yards and they hit that field goal and everybody is singing a diff tune.

Like you said, take a time out, let your defense get a breather because they weren’t stopping a damn thing on that drive. If your defense still doesn’t stop a TD you have more time on the clock to get in FG position. Just amateur coaching . They were foolish to think they could stop then on that drive when they had momentum

@JB Hood I think a lot of them are spoiled. Ravens been one of the top franchises in football since the beginning. And haven’t been around as long as a lot of franchises. So fans don’t understand how good they have it.

@Drizzie — Look man. It doesn’t make a difference which team Lamar is on, as a QB You have to be able to throw the ball accurately. Last year before the draft they asked Lamar, “What do you need to better the offense!” Lamar’s response was,” Just give me an offensive line.” He never ask for a receiver. As the leader of this team, it’s Lamar’s responsibility as well as the coaches and management to do what’s needed to improve this offense. It’s been five years and the passing game is worse this year than the previous years.

The Ravens were 7-4 going into the game yesterday. With the defense blowing 3 leads. And now you and others are basically saying Lamar is Mid!! 🤔 the ravens have missed the opportunity to surround their franchise qb with weapons like good teams do. And I believe it’s time for him to move on. And let the fans wonder what could have been 🤔 Trust me, there’s a team out there, that will take Lamar and build around him…

@Drizzie — C’mon man. Now you’re reaching. I haven’t said anything about Lamar being mid or Huntley being better than Lamar. I’m saying that Lamar being the leader of this team for five years should have a better connection with his receivers. I’ve only seen Lamar practicing with Andrews, Proche and Bateman. If our running game isn’t clicking, then what do we have to fall back on? Clearly, Our QB and receivers aren’t on the same page, hence Lamar’s over thrown pass to Tylan Wallace and some dropped passes from receivers. — And there’s enough criticism to go around.

I think a huge part of the problem is Greg Roman, with the other part conjointly being our lack of talent sans Lamar. They put too much on #8 and it shows. His missed throws are not his fault, however it may look that way. They simply ask too much of him. If he were in a better system with better weapons, his game would never oscillate. You’d see MVP Lamar every single week, but because we’ve constructed a team where a mid-level slot receiver is our number one weapon on the outside, he’s stuck making peanut butter sandwiches for dinner every night of the week.

As a team, specially for executives, your job is to construct a team based upon defining your weakness, then you seek talent to fill those weaknesses. With this team, however, and this is not a call to fire DeCosta because I do believe he is one of the very best at what he does, but with it he sees Lamar and figures that he is so talented that he can devote all his attention to the defense. That’s why he trades away Marquise without replacing him. It’s why when Rashod gets hurt for the year, he’s not immediately on the phone looking for receivers.

I love this team, and I love DeCosta, but there is a weakness that they seem almost determined to ignore. Partly because they realize that all the blame will fall on Lamar, which, in a contract year, I find very shrewd. I’m just saying!
