The real test starts now and amps up once the playoffs start. I really would like to see them all do a little better tackling. Especially solo tackles out on the perimeter on screens, sweeps, and end arounds. And we can’t forget there aren’t many Mel Blounts and Dion Sanders in the league. Remembering with today’s rules, that favors the offense and scoring, there must be a good pass rush. Because every corner will often get beat when any decent quarterback has enough time.
I think that may have been the biggest factor in picking up Brandon Williams. The thought is moving Brandon inside to help shoulder some of that load will allow Chris Jones to get more snaps out on the edge. Chris Jones will probably shatter his career sack number being able to move him to more favorable match ups. And they might not have as much a need to send so many blitzes.
