@The truth is the light! Jacob Blake’s girlfriend called the cops on him for trespassing and theft of keys. He had an open warrant for allegedly rape of a minor. The cops were also made aware of his past charge of threatening ppl in a bar, while intoxicated, with a gun. Told to be cautious, he has a gun and is willing to use it unlawfully. The cops were there specifically to arrest him, which he resisted. Ends up on the ground fighting with the cops and showed not to be affected by tasers. He gets away from the cops and pulls out the knife they started yelling him to drop and to stop and comply. He ignores them, walks around the vehicle, with his girlfriend screaming for him “don’t do it”, opens the driver side door and ducks down head first to reach into it. Not to get in, wasn’t actually sitting in it, but reached for something. All while the officers yelled lawful commands at him with guns drawn. Even the cop who shot him made a final attempt to pull him away from the vehicle. Was the officers supposed to physically engage with someone with a knife, possibly reaching for a gun? No, you neutralize the threat. Or were they supposed to simply let him drive off with kids in the vehicle? No, he was under arrest. And unlike what ppl think, ppl don’t always stop with one, or even three bullets, and the intention is not to kill, but to stop. The escalation to lethal force was justified across the board, but because he was black and the white cop didn’t didn’t wait for him to turn around, possibly with a gun or the knife, to shoot him on the front, it’s racial injustice. As if it wasn’t a criminal fighting with police, taking his own life into his hands. And the cop that shot him also did his duty and saved his life. Jacob Blake is a terrible representative of black Americans, and instead of seeking social justice for him, you should be ashamed of him.

@Derek Lindsey 3/5 part? You mean the 3/5 compromise? I guess you think it meant the individual slave was only worth 3/5 of a white man? When they were trying to establish representation in the House by population size, the slave states wanted their entire slave population counted to increase their representation in the House, but refused to acknowledge them as more than property. The non-slave states argued that if the slaves were to be counted as ppl in the population, they can’t be considered as property, but as people and shouldn’t be slaves. The slave states wanted it both ways, and to keep the union, it was agreed that only 3/5 of the entire slave population in a state would be included in the overall population numbers to establish representation in the House. It didn’t actually state the worth of an individual slave compared to a white person.
