Torrey Smith’s Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 13

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith got his act together in Week 13 with a big day against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thanksgiving.

The past two weeks had not been kind to Smith. He failed to surpass 10 fantasy points in both, but he did so against Pittsburgh thanks to his six catches for 93 yards and a touchdown.

He has been unreliable as a deep threat as of late, but that production has been replaced with success in the red zone. That was the case on Thursday as quarterback Joe Flacco found Smith for a seven-yard score:

GREAT start by @TorreySmithWR today. #SPIKE

As a whole, Smith has been a disappointment from a fantasy standpoint this year. While he is the No. 1 receiver in Baltimore, he is stuck in a stagnant offense without an identity. He has tallied more than 10 points in just four games this season as a result.

Still, Smith is a reliable play in the coming weeks during the fantasy playoff stretch. Outside of his performance against Pittsburgh, owners can take solace in the fact that he has upcoming matchups against Minnesota and Detroit. Both teams allow an average of 23.5 points or more to the position.

Smith is in for a big couple of weeks, which will finally reward owners who took the dive on his services. He must be in all lineups moving forward.
